MiqueMaus: it's difficult to say for you. On the one hand, your GPA is weak for Berkeley. On the other, you have a great SAT score and you attend a rigorous high school. So your app is a bit lopsided. Your ECs are okay, though. I'd say reach, since I've seen more than a few students who had subpar GPAs but who attended very rigorous high schools and had high SATs get rejected. It's difficult to tell, though.

Is a 2000 on the SAT good enough to get into Berkeley? (Not considering ECs and other things)

Out of state and looking for scholarship.

Thanks.

stupidkid: strong GPA, great scores, good ECs, and great honors/awards. You definitely have a good shot at Berkeley OOS, though scholarship, not so much. (It's more difficult for OOSers to get a good scholarship.)

So what type of students get scholarships to berkeley?

Really great ones. =)

h4x24: Good GPA, good SAT IIs. SAT is a little low for EECS. ECs are okay. I think 50-60% chance.

MigueMaus: your GPA's low, but you have high SATs and SAT IIs. Good AP scores too but I don't know how much that will help you. ECs are a little scarce. I think 20-30%.

dontcha: your GPA is really good. Kinda strange that your UCGPA is higher than weighted GPA. SAT is average, but it looks like you have some good ECs. I'll say 70% chance.

shortduderay: GPA slightly below average, but really good ACT scores and SAT II scores. ECs are decent too. I think 70% chance.

dianmarch2005: you have a really good GPA and SAT IIs. Your ECs also look really good. That SAT score will hurt you though. I still think you have a decent shot at EECS. I'll say 60-70% chance.

stupidkid: wow, great GPA, great SAT, great SAT IIs, great ECs. I'm gonna go on a limb and say 80-90% chance for you and a good shot at a scholarship too. I think Berkeley would be a stupidkid to not let you in. By the way, I don't think recommendations are needed.
