The Official Fall 2014 UCLA Transfer Decisions Thread

And if there is how do I get my ucla id?

@greatestthe you have to email admissions, in their reply will be your ‘UID’. You use this 9 digit number to make a myucla account.

Yeah, how do you find the UCLA ID?

@GreatestThe‌

I haven’t tried it out for myself, but I’ve done some research on it(I’ve got way too much time on my hands lol) and it seemed to work for last year’s transfer applicants and probably for applicants the year before that.

Personally, I would say that the tricks will be reliable this year as they always seemed to have been. With that said, I won’t do any of the tricks myself because I want to find out if I’ve been accepted the old-fashioned way.

@uclammg how do I email them exactly? I’m sorry. Because I emailed a few days ago and didn’t get any info

@greatestthe I used the ‘contact us’ section when I log in to view my application status. It took 5 days for a response, so maybe you’ll receive one today or tomorrow.

@uclammg yeah, I can search all the courses in the summer and it has the option to “add” the course. I don’t want to try and add it though lol. I registered as a summer sessions student last year, not sure if that affects anything- although I never signed up for classes or paid the fee.

I wouldn’t give too much credit to the trick working this year since it’s now on myucla and not on URSA. They are two completely different systems and I would be surprised if the trick transferred from URSA to myucla.

How do u get into myucla and or ursa?

I think we will all survive just finding out the old fashioned way. :wink:

@RamonaFalls‌

Hmm, that is a valid point. Everyone here should keep that in mind so as not to possibly have their hopes raised and then be crushed if they’re rejected.

The decisions site just says “late april” now, not “mid-late april”

You get in by using your ucla Id which I was able to get a while back because of TAP certification

@Cayton‌
Do you plan on calling admissions today? Maybe you have the magic touch that some of us don’t!

501 transfer students applied to the Computer Science major last semester an only 6 were admitted. That is a percent admitted of only 1.20%. Even with a 4.0 GPA I feel like it is a 1 in 50 shot at best to get in. I really do not want the first school I hear back from to be a rejection but UCSD hasn’t released yet and UCB will not release until the 25th. This weekend is most likely going to suck :-<

@1yearxfer‌ hmm let me try to figure it out to get one. Thx!

@zwriter25‌

Yeah, I plan to do so at about 1:00 today. Maybe UCLA will sense my college-confidential-godliness and tell me the exact day and exact time that they’ll release admissions. One can only hope, though. :P

@1yearxfr
How did you get it as part of TAP? I never got anything like that

@‌1yearxfr

My school’s TAP program never gave me that either.

@BlaiseAM‌ has it ever said anything different?
