Yeah, all my essays are pretty much done but I'll probably send them in the last hour before the deadline just so I can get more people to edit and read them and because I feel safer that way.

Just sent mine in, surprised I didn't wait until the last minute. :D

ahh you guys truly are amazing (the ones who have procrastinated).
reading this thread has not helped me in writing any more of my essay(s) but at least I feel better now.

this really is the worst christmas break ever, but it all gets better from here =).

those who have finished, i admire the position you're in

procrastination is truly a medical condition.

my procrastination ended when my mom took away my phone :[
i miss my phone...
poor phone where are you :[

Just a couple more >_> damn that stanford supplement looks heavy

I have 3 days to decide where i am going to apply.. MMMMM not good

all of us WILL get all our essays done

WE CAN DO IT!!!!!

Yess. And the Brown supplement and PLME essays? And all the other supplements? I can accomplish that in one well spent all nighter (not this one obviously).

wow this thread made me feel a lot better, I only have 1 essay to do now (only because I managed to convince myself that my first essay fit into like 5 different topics) and I actually am about halfway done with it finally. can't wait till this is over.

The deadline is approaching...... eek!!!!!!! I learn to learn the art of recycling, FAST

This thread makes me feel so much better about my procrastination, although it's not as bad as some. I still have 2 more supplement essays to write, and one of them is due on Jan. 1. Oh the joys of procrastination.

Everything is coming together in a beautiful nightmare, a maelstrom of paragraphs and corrections, supplements and details, all here and now...

Watch the common application site crash >_>

I have stared at the Georgia Tech essay for about a solid week while cruising on CC lol

I'm so paranoid. I had a dream about my computer screen getting eaten by black spots that grew bigger until the whole screen went blank. But I just cant get myself to press that SUBMIT button already!!

Haha you guys.

I need to start working.

I got my common app essay done early - If December 15th counts. That was the early action deadline. My mom likes it. I'm not terribly happy with it, but we're going with it, and I got into UofChicago with it, so I keep telling myself it is better than I think. It's hard not to doubt myself though. Really all I've got to do is the Northwestern supplement question, and as someone in the first page said, it's hard to come up with the right stuff. Chicago's question about why you fit with the school seemed better to me, so I might take more that approach. I have to get this done before the day of the deadline, especially if I'm trying to convince my parents to let me go to a New Years concert! Eep. There's also a scholarship essay to do, but I'm trying not to think about that one until the major college apps are out of the way.
Recycling can get a person far though, that's for sure. I also really don't mind the short answer type questions. I can spit something concise and coherent for those pretty easily, and typically have to try to stay UNDER the word count. Good luck to everybody!

This place is pretty awesome, despite it seeming so professional at first glance.

I think you can still send your app in on the day of the deadline.
For example, If your apps are due on January 1st, I'm pretty sure you can send it until 11:59PM on that day.
Right? Anyone?

that's what i was wondering!
of course, i'm sure you know that you might want to send it at 11:55 or something just in case

i wouldn't count on 11:59 cause it's risky but isn't it still okay?

p.s. this is my favorite thread out of CC discussion.
