The Official I'm-Going-to-Send-My-Essay-In-Two-Minutes-Before-the-Deadline Thread

for my fellow paranoid procrastinators, make sure you save everything in a USB! or send the essays to yourself through mail. NOW is not the time to lose your files @@

oh god, no, don't jinx it!

Question, when tehy say the deadline is the 31st?

Do they mean the midnight of the 30th or 11:59:59 on the 31st?

10 essays remaining...not even finished with my main one.

@GreenX: Depends on the specific school, but most mean at midnight on the deadline day ON THEIR TIME (meaning that if it's 11:01 PM here, but it 12:01 AM there, then no dice! @_@)

@lolcats4: lol (sorry, just felt the need to do it...)

yeah I'm kind of laughing maniacally at myself as well =X

Damn lolcats, do your SAT scores some justice :O

I sent in an EA application with SECONDS to spare! So intense! I was just finishing the supplemental essay and it was 11:58 and then it was too many characters so it wouldn't copy and paste so then I did sentence by sentence rapid fire and hit the button making it just in time. It was a rush.

@ hipster, maybe I'm trying too hard to do just that, haha

^That settles it. This forum is awesome.

does anyone know for stanford...do we have all of jan. 1st to send it or does it have to be on the 31st?...

"Paper applications submitted without prior approval will not be reviewed and all online applications must be submitted by Midnight, January 1 (Pacific Time). Extensions will not be granted for technical difficulties using the Common Application Web site, so applicants should submit their applications well in advance of the actual deadline." ;)

^ Not if you want to make the application process FUN! Send them in right on 11:59 on the dot! It's like gambling...only not with money but with your future!

Funny as it may be, there might be someone who'll take that advice seriously! Besides, everyone knows it's a lot funner to not only send in the app right before the deadline, but while simultaneously being required to diffuse a ticking time bomb in which all the wires are the same color! And smother yourself in tomato sauce as well-tomato sauce makes the world go 'round!

Dayum Ouch123 you DO know how to make the application process fun! That sounds AWESOME! How do you pull that off! I definitely want to try it.

You know? I think you and I could have a wonderful conversation about this, but unfortunately, I too often delve into the profane and possibly non-work-safe areas of humor, so for now, let's just use the safer version and say that you must possess the Pride of Lion and Heart of Potato, and leave it at that. ;)

I'm following you.

Reading this thread makes me nervous. O__O

BwahahahahaHAHAHAHAAAaaAHAHAHA!!!!!

Lord...Saddler....

Morir es vivir...
Morir es vivir...
Morir es vivir...

I've been a year without Spanish, but I think that reads "To die is to live." I know that college applications are stressful, but, please, be reasonable. ;]
