The Official November 2014 SAT Thread (INTERNATIONAL)

@kiwieagle‌ that one and the following q was sort of similar i think i got untenable and “subjective” on the next q

@kiwieagle i also chose movie reviewer and untenable!
@GLPDickson how did you get 2000? i omitted anyway, but i just could not figure out that question. and “sth employing signiture style” was the movie reviewer option, i think.

Yes, I got that I believe. Signature style = movie review I think. I wouldn’t be suprised if I got 800 hahahaha. Too bad critical reading is my forte but math is the one that matters as someone applying for engineer.

Guys how did you think of sencom for this test? Curious… Wondering about the curve.

I have 1 CR 23 questions, 1 24 and 1 25. Which is the experimental one? The 24 one, right?

@NgaiLapDi‌ Did you have 4 CR sections?

Wait what did the movie reviewer one say exactly? My memory’s getting hazier by the minute…

It was 2,000 kg for the barrels.

what did the barrel question say?

I think the problem goes like this.B=9c, barrels are 1200, then you divide 1200/9=smth. After that since x barrels are 1020+6(1200/9)=2000 kg
I remember something of the procedure.

The movie reviewer one was which option was most analogous to taking photo of the rich vs the poor

was the two long passages about environment experimental? passage 1 was talking about finding some flower, meeting “flower people”, and another was cynical about having inner peace in the environment…
one question from these passages were comparing the authors’ attitude
options i got confused were: passage 2 being irritated/passage 2 being disappointed

@GLPDickson‌ I got 4 CR sections and I think the one about “flower people” is experimental

was non newton thing in the same section as flower people?

The barrel question is the number of barrels = 9 the number of crates, the weight of each crate = 6 the weight of each barrel, I think

Newton is experimental… There were some that didn’t get it. Everyone got the flower section

Guys what was the answer to the flower people question where the choices were like “was the narrator trying to project human motivations onto the flower”/“narrator has a deep sense of emotions” (or something)??

@conficollege‌ pretty sure the narrator was disappointed. It pretty much spelled it out that he wanted to feel like deep sense of nature or whatever that the passage 1 author felt

@queenbellevue i chose the disappointment as well. for the flower people question, i did not pick projecting human motivation

@conficollege‌ I’m same as you then. What about the sudoku/crossword question? Was it that crossword puzzles take less time than sudoku or that sudoku decreases the audience for crossword?
