The official Pakistani Thread for the class of 2015

^^umm, are you sure he applied to cornell’s medical school? there is no undergraduate medical program in america.
you have to have a 4 year degree to start medical school.

and, oh yeah,me and qwerty are cool. lol, i don’t really get mad at people for having their own opinions. fun talk too.

netherlands putting up a real fight today!

could this be the first upset of the world cup?

cricket is lame :stuck_out_tongue: buhahhahahahah ■■■■■ alert :P

anyways what are your backups everyone… like if God-forbid you cant make it into any good US uni… then whats it gonna be here in Pak… Lums … Nust ???..

@pakipower… sorry I didnt mention. Cornell has a med school at their new campus in Qatar or wherever their new campus is :D

Oh well my brother doesn’t have that much freedom either lol. It’s frustrating at times but if u think about it they do it for our best. I turned out good, so did my brother. I think it’s the parents that give TOO much freedom that screw up their kids.

^^^ cricket’s ok. it’s always on in my house, so i can’t avoid it lol. speaking of sports, anyone watch this year’s dunk contest at the all-star weekend?!

my safeties are michigan state and umichigan (already accepted to both). if i don’t wanna go to either, and get rejected from everywhere else (which could happen), i’ll think about a gap year.

wow why do you hate Pakistani education so much ?

^haha, i don’t hate pakistani education. when did i say that??! michigan is actually really cheap for me (i’m a michigan resident), so it doesn’t make sense for me to apply anywhere outside america. but i’m looking for a specific college experience as well, and i don’t think i’m a good fit for michigan, so i’m looking forward to getting into the other schools i applied to. if i don’t then i’ll consider a gap year. still not sure about that.

sorry about that, omair. i just read about the program. pretty decent. and you get a Cornell MD in six years!

LUMS is greatly respected abroad btw. if you get in, don’t go anywhere else, unless, well, you get into an ivy or similarly-ranked school. :)

well yes that is my backup choice… actually its not that easy getting into Lums either and I really screwed up my entry test but ah well I still have hope :stuck_out_tongue:
and so you are a a Michigan resident wow ok …

and you being in the US … which is respected more there … Nust or Lums ?

Well, if I don’t make it anywhere in the US, I still have Jacobs (full ride) and U of T (they meet full need of Canadian citizens, which I am). So I guess it’s either one of these provided the visa reaches me. :)

^^ i haven’t lived in the US for more than 6 years now. but all my uncles and cousins who work there say that LUMS is surprisingly well-known, mostly because a lot of LUMS grads do their masters in the US.

freakozoid, by u of t, do you mean toronto or texas?

Oops, sorry. My bad. I mean University of Toronto. (University of Toronto is called U of T while University of Texas is called UT, if I’m not mistaken.)

Jacobs… you mean Germany ?

^Yeah. 10char

yeah, it is UT, lol sorry about that.

nice. did you apply for engineering? one of my friends really wants to go to either waterloo or toronto for engineering. apparently they’re really prestigious.

then why did you apply lums freakozoid ?
