Yeah, I got into engineering. What attracts me about U of T and Toronto is that there are loads of Pakistanis so I’ll never feel like I’m an alien who’s come to another planet. Also there are lots of good places for Halal food and stuff. And quite a lot of my family lives there.

^^Visas are very unpredictable nowadays (though I don’t need one for U of T). It’s always good to have a backup in Pakistan just in case things don’t go as planned.

U guys know way more about the schools here than I do. D:

^^^yeah, diversity is really important to me too, which is why i didn’t apply to LACs where i’d probably be the ONLY pakistani lol. but, i also don’t want to go to asian-dominated schools like UCLA either. a good mix, like that of emory for example, would be ideal.

^^haha yeah, everyone in their final year of a levels in pakistan becomes college-obsessed.

the stress of college applications has been on my mind since like may, and i can’t wait to be done.

^I can’t wait for the 1st of April. It’s like Judgment Day for everyone. It’s the day everyone’s been waiting for the whole darned year.

Dude UCLA has like an amazing MAS. And it’s LA, you can’t get any better than that. Unless you wanna go to USC. You guys don’t get guaranteed acceptance anywhere huh? And I’m guessing the only school you wanna go to are ivy league? And u won’t know till April?

@meenzie,

i think your father did a great job in your upbringing but he should be more lenient to you now, where did you apply between? What are your stats like?

He’s not haha. I have about the same freedom I had when I was like 6. And don’t even ask about my GPA and stuff. It’s failure at life status. But I’ve gotten accepted to UCR and La Verne. And both are driving distance. Like about an hour or so.

What about u?

I have an offer from oxford and full tuition waiver from hong kong univ, still waiting on stanford, mit, and ivies. What state are u from?

Woah Oxford. And California haha. I got into some out of state places but nothing special. What’s your #1 school?

i would actually love to attend any of the top tier schools i applied to =p
cant say anything till i get all the decisions. Wow california is THE city, i hope i get into stanford. Have you been to pakistan?

woaha Oxford that is really awesome man… what was your O and A level score ?

thanku
10As in Olevel 6As in AS, i have 8 subjects, if you may know…
Hows A2 going guys?

wow that is super cool… I have 9A’s in O and 6 in AS and I got an interview which sucked balls and I was rejected… I got a 7.2 out of 10 on the interview and most who were accepted for 7.8 or above! I am gonna curse myself forever should have prepared for it! … now only an Ivy admission can make up for it :P

oh am sorry for the rejection, but you have amazing scores. Dont worry, you will get into ivy. Also, how you know the interview score?
and which city are you from?

Makes sense haha and what about money wise?? California’s a state xD. And yeah just once in 8th grade. Karachi tho.

which uk courses did you guys apply to?

i really wanted to apply to LSE but the whole inflexible nature of the program kinda intimidated me. all of them are great schools though.

and, 6 A’s? bro, you’re a beast! i have just 4 in AS (excluding GP) haha

well my college agreed to send me a feedback report… which they send… they found that I was occasionally confused by some equations in the interview or something :S … what made it worse was that they sent me my decision on my birthday so that is one day I shall never forget… maybe 1st April ought to make up for it haha…

and I am from Rwp/Isl…
