The official thread for HIGH SCHOOL CLASS OF 2012!

I know, but I really don’t want to explain why I got a 72 both semesters in math. The teacher really didn’t teach and don’t want to get into it. In our class, half the kids failed first semester. I know I need to bring my GPA up and I will. In my other classes I have all A’s and B’s and I could have got a 4.0 if I had some CP classes. I have another semester before I apply to the Rock and hope to bring it up to a 3.4. My grades are pretty much the same as last semester. The main point of the Rock is to give me a head start.

That stinks, :frowning: Why do you have to repeat it?

you’re repeating a whole year of school just to get better at a sport?

But you still have 3 years to bring up your grades. I’m pretty sure those other freshman grades will still show up on transcript.

Rachael, I was waiting for someone to point out that apostrophes are not used when pluralizing. Thank you for that. Early_college, if you are willing to take internet abuse for the first 2 years of high school, keep posting on CC. If not, just focus on getting your grades for the first 2 years (at an early college or not) and then resume using CC as a junior. I’m not personally telling you to stop posting, I’m just warning you that this site can be quite brutal unless you’re up to certain standards (age is part of the equation).

First of all you don’t know what Bard College at Simon’s Rock is. You don’t resume using CC when your a junior. It’s a college thank you very much. You don’t go back to high school and where are you getting your information? You shouldn’t post things when you don’t know what your talking about. No Offense! Also, please if you have nothing nice to say then don’t post. Goodbye!

I was not attempting to be mean. I am pretty sure I understand from your first post as well as your subsequent posts that you are planning on attending an early college. I did not write anywhere that you will be attending high school. I wrote that you should focus on getting grades wherever you are (high school OR early college, in your case) instead of posting on CC. This website is mostly for people who are already into the groove of getting grades in high school/early college. That is when people begin posting their GPA, test scores, ECs, and various other things in order to receive feedback regarding their chances of admission to an institution that will provide a higher level of education. I just gave you advice, I did not resort to borderline ad-hominem attacks. You, on the other hand, came off as aggressive. Calm down, what I’m giving you is some pointers that will keep you out of the way of insulting comments from the masses of overachievers on CC.

Actually, I became aggressive because you did. You were saying stuff about the school which wasn’t true. “and then resume using CC as a junior.” If I go there, I won’t ever be a junior. But I think I could have read into what you were saying, which I apologize. I also use this website to talk about AP scores/AP tests and the Theater/Drama thread.

He wasn’t aggressive at all and the miscommunication was more of your fault, early_college, than it was his. mk150890 is definitely right about age being a factor in the quality of posts, though I would say this is more accurately defined by maturity than number of years.

Thank you Amazinness. You guys need to get a life. This is a thread for upcoming 10th graders and your not welcome, unless you have something nice to say. Also, he had no IDEA about the college. There are people younger and this is a thread not for you. I have already found three people who are part of the class of 2012. There are many different ways of using CC and I think I should know. I have more posts than you and been here longer dunbar. There are some of you who think before you type, lol.

At least your not 50 yet, lol.

Actually I registered a week before you did, but I lurked for a while before registering precisely because of the reasons stated already on this thread (I’m a sophomore). The fact that you have more posts than me goes against you imo.

It tells you the exact date of when you registered, lol? I have learned a lot though, lol

If you click on a person’s username, it appears on the right. That being said, why did you say you registered before me if you could only see the February?

Ahh, the naivete of youngsters. Dunbar, your question illustrates the point I made earlier, namely that people who are freshmen or younger on CC tend to make comments without having any anticipation of the scrutiny posts usually receive on CC. Thus, things come back to bite you rather quickly.

Go look at my other answers, actually look at the most previous one on the Theater/Drama board. Then come back and dunbar is one year older, please. I’m also not a freshman any longer. Thank you very much and dunbar I have had more time with how this forum has worked, minus the exact date thing.

BUMP!!!

Come Class of 2012.

I don’t think anyone wants to admit they’re in the Class of 2012 after looking through the first three pages of this thread…haha :]

I rem this thread was bad, lol. One person told me that I should make a Class of 2012 and I already did. I bumped it, but I rem this wasn’t the greatest thread.

No kidding.

That would be me. Thanks, though.
