Rejected but got into some PaCe program
Same here ^
Rejected
I got accepted to the Gator Engineering @ Santa Fe so I dont know what this means
Accepted instate without the housing email.
@Hi1997 It exists already. Just gotta search. It’s called UF Class of 2019
Congrats to all who got in! PaCE is a great program for those who want to go to UF and weren’t accepted to study on campus.
@droidxcurve That happened to some people last year, basically it’s an opportunity to transfer to UF at a later semester while studying at Sante Fe, if I’m not mistaken. Could someone correct me on that?
@chicacademy Congrats pal! We’ve all earned it, let’s delve in today’s victory!
@starflake Are you around?
Accepted for the fall and pretty excited! I am basically stuck between choosing UF and UMiami (whichever is cheaper). I heard, though, that Florida only gives out roughly 70 OOS scholarships. Is that true? I need to have my decision for college by March 20th for some of the outside scholarships I am applying for. Does anybody know someone from last year that got an OOS scholarship? I am curious of what the profiles look like.
@AGoodFloridian I’m here! Better yet – I’m IN! SO PSYCHED RIGHT NOW. Congrats to everyone who made it!
Hey @AGoodFloridian I’ve been following your posts a lot and congrats!! Good job man! I’m also a male that got in as well! Now I just need to find a roommate haha
Accepted!! Congrats to @AGoodFloridian! I’ve been lurking these threads for a while and I am glad that someone as passionate about UF as you got accepted. Good luck everyone!
@floridastudent15 Dawh, thanks bro! It’s really nice to read something like that, Be sure to join the UF Class of 2019 facebook page! I have no idea who I’ll be placed with, but if it’s with any of you, then I’m in EXCELLENT company!
@starflake Yeeeeeessss :DD That’s what I’m talking about! I’d high five you if it wouldn’t break my screen. God only knows how much we deserved this. Those sleepless nights are about to be repaid.
Darn, I can’t wait to be on American soil soon. I’ve won this battle, but I still have to get my visa! hahahah

Edit: @Schweini31 , just saw your message now! You rock too man!! Remember, we are the Writers and on the Thread, we are brothers, and now Gators! Rejoice!
Haha gesture noted! returns virtual high five Omg yesss 3 months of waiting… rdfgfsdds And those sleepless nights will be repaid with more sleepless nights spent studying now lol
Congrats to everyone who got accepted! Can’t wait to be a Gator!
@AGoodFloridian Yeah hope to see you in engineering next year!

Teacher Recs: Amazing recs, sent them but UF doesn’t really look at them.

Hook (if any): I had a crazy upward trend in grades. I didn’t care at all about school my freshman year (3.0uw) and then had a lot of bad things happen my sophomore year (2.9uw) I was diagnosed with ADD and started taking medication. Junior and senior year I have maintained a 3.7uw. I also am in-state but go to a boarding school.
Location/Person: Boarding school in PA
State or Country: Florida, in-state

General Comments: I am so freakin excited to be attending in the Fall. I was really nervous with my stats being pretty low. However, after my freshman and sophomore year hiccups, I have since proved that I am a hard worker through my more recent grades.
Does anyone how housing works? How and when do we get notified to pick our dorms?
@itstamara I was just reading about that now. Within a few days we should be receiving emails that will tell us what the next steps are. Personally, I have a great interest in living in the “Living Learning Community” , East Hall, which is specific for Engineering students. According to the website, I would have to sign the housing contract (which we’ll receive with the emails I think) and pay a fee of some kind, and viola! Though I should probably research it more.
Accepted with no housing emails this morning but no mention of scholarship money. Did anyone receive money with their notification or does that come later with the packet?
