for the CNN essay I just wrote it like I was pitching to someone. Like: An issue I am really interested in is ______________________. then gave background on it and why it was significant to med and why I was interested in it and then my last paragraph was like how I would set out the segment.

Because our system doesn't you recomendations my chem teacher actually sent the LOR by himself, I think I just have to call up the school and double check that they got it, but it should be okay right?
also for official transcripts, we dont have them so I just got them signed as a certified copy and stamped with the school stamp and sent them, I assume thats okay right?
uch stupid international courier! cost be $40 just to send it

ahh... I got my recommendation letters today, but one of my teachers did not sign or seal the envelope. After reading it, the letter seemed kinda generic. Should I send it in anyways, even without the signature on the seal?

can anyone answer my question? or anyone who has already submitted the app?

What goes on the online application, and if we use the online application, need anything be submitted via postmaiL??
Or, is the online application all you need to fill out?
Or, if we do need to also send other things via postmail, what are they and what address?

I was wondering about submitting the app online also.

If you submit online, do they still need you to submit EVERYTHING in the envelope? Or just the recs, resume and high school transcript (or do they take the resume online?)

Also, I don't remember what I put for race...I think I put the wrong thing. I think I chose other asian instead of asian-indian because I didn't see the option. Do you think I can call them and change that? Or should I just submit all the paper application?

What Exactly goes on the online application and what exactly goes postmail?

Do we even need to send in transcripts when we already submitted them to the USC Undergrad office for regular admissions??? Can they just grab them from there?

HELP! lol deadline is extremely soon

and i also need to make a change to my info that i started with for the bacc/md program online. My SAT score when I signed up (2140) has changed (2310). I naturally want them to see the latter in my evaluation, how can I change the previous info?
I might have to do this all by paper, huH?

Transcripts can be sent to the Bacc/MD program by Dec 10. I just called them and found out that they need an extra transcript for the program sent to the Trousdale Parkway address on the Bacc/MD website. Don't worry about it though... you only need to turn in the recs/transcript via snail mail by the 10th of december. the resumes need to be sent by snail mail postmarked by the dec 1st deadline (today) and everything else needs to be electronic.

Good luck to everyone who sent their applications in, I know how it feels, lol. It's weird to think it was only a year ago. Hope to see you all here in February/March!

wait, Stockguru92, I thought we attached the resume's on the online application???
We didnt need to send em in by snail mail... or did we have to do both?

Yeah guys actually, there was an error on my part. Typo. Transcript by website. Anywho, I hope us all luck. If you did everything by paper, it's fine too.

I know this is the hardest part of the college process, but you guys have to sit back, relax and take a breather! Remember that other applications are due soon (December 15th and January 1st), so channel your energy into getting those done NOW. Believe me, I spent my entire Winter Break doing applications and it was not fun!

Since you all applied by December 1st, you're all eligible for scholarships. USC notifies you of admission, scholarship interview status and Bacc/MD interview status at or around the end of January. About 1,000 applications come in for Bacc/MD and 100 or so are selected to interview on campus in the winter. There are usually three interview dates, one in February and two in March. Last year, the first one coincided with Presidential and Trustee interviews and the second and third coincided with just Presidential scholarship interviews. From there, 35-40 are accepted and approximately 30 choose to come to USC. It may seem like a small number, but it's totally worth it, so good luck to everyone! Just realize that you've done all that you can do now and focus on getting everything else in. It's a stressful time, but make the most of it. In less than a month, it's all a waiting game. Good luck to everyone!

On that note, I'm wrapping up with classes this week and studying for finals for the next couple of weeks, so I'll be sporadically answering PMs if you guys have any questions.

LET ME GET THIS STRAIGHT-
It wont be late if i send my transcript and teacher recommendations before the tenth??? the USC website says dec. 1st?!?!?!
Do we need to send another transcript or was the one for regular USC application enough?

Could someone please clarify these points...
