As far as I'm concerned, no. Yale SCEA prohibits applying early ANYWHERE else.

I tot the faq says i'm allowed.. Illinois is public rolling admissions..?

I'm pretty sure you can apply to UIUC if it's rolling, since the SCEA contract permits applications to public universities with rolling admissions.

Any confirmation that i could do both? Thanks a lot..

I applied SCEA to Yale last year and I know for a fact that you can definitely apply to a public rolling admissions school. I applied to U of Michigan (rolling admissions) as my safety, and I was accepted to both Yale and Michigan. Needless to say, I chose Yale :)

OK, we had Santiago too, back in March. As stated, he's by far the best college rep I've ever encountered, and we've seen a bunch. I'm starting to wonder if his full time job is polishing his act. Seriously think d (and others) should mention his name in the Why Yale box. Would like d to marry him some day, so hope he goes to grad school somewhere nearby...

O god...Yale through Questbridge...i hope i get in...

I'm only a junior, but Yale is my dream school. One more year and I'll be where you guys are. Good luck!

GOOD LUCK to everyone!

hey~applying as a junior~Chinese international.Chemistry~economics~film.
still wondering stanford SCEA or Yale SCEA.I love both.Nice to know you all.

what means rolling admission at u michigan?what's the difference between rolling and regular?
That's a good strategy.where is U michigan,Ann abor?

What is Questbridge?

so i'm probably the only applicant on this thread that isn't an avid reader. oh well...who has time when you're caught up reading CC posts? just kidding. i prefer to read news articles, commentaries, and anything politically charged. i just eat up newspapers. oh yea, and i love fashion. i'm quite the contradiction i suppose?

What is Questbridge? GOOGLE IT!

Just finished sending in the SCEA app! Hurray! The weight of the world seems nonexistent now.

I want to either go into Environmental Studies, International Relations, or English at Yale (disparate, I know).

I'm pretty sure I'll get rejected it. But I guess it's better to apply than not, eh?

Is it OK to send the materials out after October 20?
I have to wait for my first SAT result though I know they atarted to read it early this year.

They will begin reading on October 22nd.

I have never mailed anything before.. I'm applying SCEA using paper application from overseas.. Since the postmark deadline is november 1st, i can bring my application materials to fedex on the 21st october.. And let's assume my country is so far that it takes about 3 weeks to reach Yale.. Then would the admission officers read my materials if they reach the office only on the 11th of november?.. Thanks..

I went to a Yale college night last week and the admissions officer said he had already started reading applications. Waiting on my SAT results...

UNC has an early notification program where decisions come out January 15th. Is that allowable, since it's technically not rolling admissions?
