The "OH GOD PART xyz HASN'T ARRIVED YET AND I'M SCARED!" thread

I scond that

second that I mean...

My last item was processed this morning (Teach eval B)

Oren, Indeed! :D. I just really didn't want to be that kid who missed the deadline and everything got in late, etc. etc... plus I'm really, really busy during the actual school months, so I knew I had to get everything prepared early. Again, because I can't emphasize it strongly enough...

JUNIORS: for next year, prepare EVERYTHING early. Your teachers will love you for it, and you will love not being stressed out!

Or at least, not being stressed out because of applications. ;-)

Hmm... I'm "cleverly drafted" my RSI application before the due date by looking at last years application... to bad I haven't actually written anything yet :p

Good point, Olo.

Sometimes, however, it works against you! When I asked my teachers early, they told me I should stop being so (I quote) "On the ball" and gave me a list of video games to play over summer!

My recs & transcript (sent around Oct 29) took 3 weeks got processed on the 10th.

...How is that three weeks?

-Oren

zking: I guess it differs. My graduating class has ~950 people. The more time the teachers get, the better, as they're always flooded at the last minute.

I'm not going to be a happy camper until this rec gets in. What sucks is my teacher had his laptop stolen, so sending in another copy isn't really an option either.

Same here. I've been reloading the MyMIT page basically every five minutes. Argh I want it processed already so I can start my homework! This is driving me insane...

That totally sucks about the laptop though. Apparently many people from my school have gotten notices from their early schools saying that the transcript isn't in yet. HOPEFULLY this just means that everything is just super delayed.

-Oren

Maybe it IS a California thing.

oops. sorry. yeah. i guess it really was only 2 weeks. it felt like 3 though. But then i know others who had to wait 3 weeks for theirs to get cleared up.

Okay people--status update. Something? Anything? Still refreshing the page every 5 minutes? Is it just a California thing after all?

I'm still waiting on the secondary report & transcript.

/me grinds teeth nervously and vows not to check MyMIT again until tomorrow morning.

-Oren

Czar, I'm still waiting. My math teacher is actually calling in not to ask if it came in, but to ask if he can have a copy send back to him since he lost his laptop. So, in the process, I guess I can get a status report.

Haha... oh the irony. I wait until morning to check my status, and the site goes down until 1pm. Fun.

Thanks, vu... I think I'll call later today if it's not in when the site's back up.

-Oren

Czar and I are going crazy right now. What happens is they didn't get it and they tell my teacher that?

I'm really worried now! Only one teacher rec hasn't been processed, which was the one my teacher sent out herself. She claimed to have sent it out Oct. 28th and it still hasn't been processed! Almost 3 weeks. And I'm from NJ.

Today is the official two week mark of the EA deadline (November 4). Has anyone gotten word of changes in status on their "non-processed" items?

Do you doubt the teachers or the postal system?
