<p>You know, this paradox gets so much more frustrating when you add a cultural dimension to it.</p>
<p>In China, for example, the men are often more selective than the women, EVEN though the men:women ration is smaller than 1. (in other words, there are more women than men.)</p>
<p>Also, although the logic is pretty right in some parts, it might be a little too generalized...</p>
<p>you might want to look up the word paradox again</p>
<p>girls purely gravitate toward the obvious (to them) winner, but in a horse race its not so obvious. now and again they might pick a winner but most of the time they will lose.dependant upon your social network girls will pick the best they can get within that social network. that means looks/fitness/money and power are all the key attributes you need within a given social network to get a girl. if you dont get chosen by your ideal its because she is trying for her ideal but other girls will be attracted to you who have found their position in the pecking order within the social network and are shopping nearer your isle. they always take the best they can get at any given time.some girls shop elsewhere like other social networks so you have no chance with them anyway. you can shop in any social network as long as its got a connection to your own.and you can only score with people close to your status position within the pecking order of that social network. the only other way to reach greater heights is to take risks to advance to a higher position within the pecking order of the social network. which means get fitter, get richer or become more powerfull within the group by sucking up or competing with the alpha male in that group/social network.</p>
<p>as an example : say you place yourself in a social network of porn stars just you and 100 female porn stars you would be selected as the last option probably but due to the fact you were the only man you would score with the best porn star in the network. again she would select from the best she can get in any given horse race. if your the only one then youll win it. now imagine theres 50 men. you migh tplace 23rd you would score with the porn stars around the 23rd mark in the pecking order.these girls have fallen into their own pecking order and have bowed down to the better porn stars above them. so they select from the 23rd section. which is you and a few others and if the men above them decides to take a higher bet they will go slumming and select from a lower section ( the outsiders) but with higher odds.</p>
<p>lets just say one of your horses(girls) looses position status etc fight with an alpha female, lost alpha male boyfriend for lesser girl got demoted etc had a fall etc well she is still a hot favourite but in a race with one of her others she lost. low self esteem , lost confidance etc she becomes easy pickings because she lost position eg of no1 to a number 10 in the pecking order (winners circle) then the number ten men can have a go trying to ride her/bet on her to win the race pass the finish line their first place bet.</p>
<p>this is what the predators do.:</p>
<p>the main herd. in the jungle you have lions and rebock. lions eat rebock. when the stronger/faster rebock stay close to the main herd they stay alive (social networking). the younger /older/stupid who arent fit or clever enough yet/anymore fall behind they get caught and eaten by the lions( non sociable people). eg pubs and clubs /drinkers party goers. always stay close to the main herd never go astray alone when drunk or in small numbers. stay with the main group always or you will grow/show weak. the predators will get you. social networking with the main group. never be the one to leave the main group. be the survivor. be the winner. stay with the the main herd.shephard and the flock if you veer from the flock the wolves get the straglers the drunk the slow women the ones that lost the main group. always stay with the main herd social network. strength in numbers.</p>

That doesn't apply for all men, just the select few that the women want and in that case there's more women than desirable men. It's because although there's a lot of men overall, there's not that many that have decent education, financial status, job, etc.. In the cities at least, most women would rather try to strive for a college-educated guy with a nice job than settle for one of the many homeless country bumpkins.</p>
