<p>hey guys, i just saw an episode of the scholars where they had the biology showdown, after watching that, i was like wow, this show is scammed!!!
those pointdexters with 1550+/1600 where answering questions like "how many chambers does the heart have?" give me a break.
and the last question "what does RNA stand for?" seriously, even in 1st year intro bio, they don't ask sissy questions like that, not even in basic bio.

<p>WOW! I have to agree with what you guys are saying. I cut them some slack last week because it was the first episode, but c'mon!!!!!! RNA? EPIDERMIS? TENDON? HOW MANY CHAMBERS IN A HUMAN HEART? </p>
<p>Do these contestants take AP classes? Like someone said, THESE ARE NOT EVEN ON THE LEVEL OF REGULAR BIOLOGY. </p>
<p>I apologize if I am being too harsh, but I truly cannot understand what this show is about. I see that they have some sort of disadvantages (that is the idea of the show) and are in need of this scholarship, but what does this have to do with the PATHETIC questions being asked?</p>

whereas this scholar show is just plain bad--it's like the real word but with sort of geeky kids..except they're not geeky enough for it to be funny. it would be funny if two kids got into a dramatic fight over one kid stealing batteries from the other's TI83, that kind of thing.</p>
<p>i only watch this show for USC shouts...other than that this is such a retarded show....if they wanted ratings to go up, they would 1. get better looking people 2. put on CCers...honestly i feel like yelling at the screen - put on some lipstick ur going to be on tv!</p>

<p>My 9th grade bio teacher sucked. She sent us to a website called Mr. Biology for all of our lecture notes and worksheets. Our homework each night would be to "print out Mr. Bio notes". I haven't taken AP Bio.</p>

Gerald said Bio was his favorite science. You could guess that the answer was "tendons" right when he said "ligaments". Those two are always put together when asking basic questions. JOINTS?!</p>

<p>there is another show called Beauty and the Geek. It's pretty sad. There is actually one guy who i think really is a <em>geek</em>..the other guys are just normal people i think who aren't emptyheaded dumbasses like the girls. It's pretty sad.</p>
<p>I doubted how smart these scholars are, if they don't know which part of the body that epidermis and dermis belong to.</p>
<p>Come on, one of them said that he want to be the president of the United States of America, another one said that she will walk on the moon, and the most nonsense of these all is that someone said he's gonna make a difference in this world and major in political science, nothing can prove there is a logic connection between the major one had chosen and the success he could get.</p>

<p>I have no idea what to think of the show. A part of me wants to say "how the heck do u miss those type of questions?" But then I'm confused when under their names on the show, they put stuff like math prodigy and stuff. Out of all the people, I have the most respect for Scott. Full time job, 4.0 GPA (even though home schooled), black belt, 1580 SAT (according to tv)</p>
<p>i think this show is a fraud. Seriously, if they ALL took AP Bio and did fabulously in all the AP Science classes and got straight A's, how could they miss questions i learned in 7th grade life science. Ridiculous...</p>
