About the prompt regarding special talents and skills, is there a suggested ceiling for word count? I was thinking mine to be around 200 words, is that excessive or too brief?

Thanks

I think that mine (EA-accepted) was only 2 sentences. It perfectly fit in the space provided, and my handwriting is neither huge nor tiny. I would think that 200 words is a little too much, but I don't know what other people did. If you have an extra 200 words that you believe are important to your application, just send in an extra essay. I think that they just want something brief/interesting if you can think of anything.

yeah mine was like maybe three sentences, 200 words is a bit overboard, but hey what ever works. i won't kill your application or anything. plus isn't it in already?

mine (accepted EA) was around 100 words

i'm applying RD, so no?

ok great, glad i didnt start writing it beforehand

thanks to both of you

I wrote a list, actually...nowhere near 200 words.
I said I have language skills (nearly fluent German and 3 years Spanish), 11 years piano lessons, and Japanese studies experience.

Accepted, btw.

left it blank. got in EA

I wrote a list too, very much like tlesc01's no where near 100 words.

It was like," I can speak 5 languages, at the least, conversationally (listlistlist). I can read bass and treble clef and can play tuba, euphonium, and trumpet."

That was it. I kind of wish I put more quarky stuff like how I memorized state capitals and such.. But I got accepted EA anyway. :D

left in blank too. also got in EA

I wrote about being able to touch the ground with my elbows, being able to bake bread, and some other stuff.
