Seriously, be quiet.

It's people like you, ilcapo235, that give atheism a bad name.

...the ten commandments are part of the old testament (torah), but they are still a crucial part of the christian faith.

please please please, no arguments about religion. please.

well on a thread about the ten commandments, its pretty inevitable. maybe you should just avert your eyes? :)

"please please please, no arguments about religion. please."

I so totally ditto this, which is why I don't get why this topic was even started in the first place. I don't want to lose friends before I even get to Princeton.

Yeah, I was pretty confused, too. What spurred this?

While I think topics like this make great discussions, those discussions should probably be saved for later on (e.g. not an internet chat board)....

I simply felt that my 999th and 1000th posts should be ones that adhered to my character of inciting argument and hatred.

So there you have it. To all my dissenters, SHUT UP! I'M A SENIOR MEMBER!

(and there are two distinct intepretations of the Ten Commandments, Jewish & Christian, the ones that appear on government property are universally Christian, Protestant to be specific)

Happy 1000th, ilcapo!!!!

e-champagne 'round the Princeton board for our new senior member [it took long enough!]...

I hope you die.

MzLover---don't let him fool you.

Mz, you'll never get rid of Ilcapo - he's the type that would be too stubborn to die. But that's okay, he adds a unique perspective to (and incites the occasional riot on) the board, so we wouldn't want him to die, anyway ;)

Watch ou Ilcapo, - a disgruntled member of the Christian Right might poison your e-champagne, despite the fact that murder is expressedly forbidden in their religon. They're Republicans, right, so of course they're hypocrites!!!! heavy sarcasm

And happy 1000th, of course.

Don't let him get to you.
And MzLover, congrats on 100 =)

Let's hope they don't delete this thread and make your post counts go back.

Oh, I don't want to seem like "a disgruntled member of the Christian Right," that's not me. I'm an atheist (and a Democratic Socialist), just one whose parents have taught him the most basic of virtues-tolerace of anything save intolerance.

And wow, 100 posts. What's that? 120 minutes of wasted time? What an accomplishment. I'm sooooo proud.

Well, I must be even prouder of my 2,148....

2,149 :p

Congrats, cap! 'bout time you joined the SMC. I thought by nature you had to be a part of all elitist clubs, haha. Mmmm...

Mz - I was just being obnoxious; I wasn't insinuating that you're a member of any ideological group. Ilcapo seems to reserve a special place of disdain in his heart for the Christian Right, so I thought I'd be clever.... Obviously it fell flat on its face.

I should have probably figured humor inserted between writing two end-of-term essays probably would be more delusional than funny, but I didn't until now. Oh well. :p

No gracilisae, you were funny
Mz on the other hand, doesn't seem to have a great sense of humor (at least that's what I have to think after he attacked how much we cherished our beloved post counts)

Yes, zante would be particularly sensitive on that issue. :)
But who am I to talk?

my fav bumper sticker: "last time we mixed politics with religion people got burned at the stake" btw: It is unfair to call him a "bigot" I'm sure he meant no offense.
