The three types of deferral letters

Everyone knows that there are three types of deferral letters for ER applicants.
I know that the first one is the best; someone who had received the first one got in just within 2 weeks.
How about the second and the last one?
Which one do you think implies a greater chance?
I got the last one just now.
I am sure these have been discussed for thousands of times already, but I am really really anxious......
All opinions are welcome~

please refer to the website for FAQ's about the admissions process and what to do next. strong fall semester grades may improve your status in the deferred pool of applicants. therefore, please ask your guidance counselor to forward your grades when they become available.

2:
Thank you for your application to the University of Michigan. After an initial individualized and comprehensive review of your application, we find that we will need additional information in order to make a decision.

The quality of grades earned in academic courses is one of several factors taken into consideration in evaluating a student's admissibility. To give your application a fair evaluation, we will need your fall semester or second trimester grades. Because it is important that we receive these grades as soon as possible, please request to have a PDF of your completed semester or second trimester grades sent from the issuing institution to our office via an e-transcript vendor or to ecredentials@umich.edu if possible. Otherwise, please ask your high school counselor to fax a report of these completed semester or second trimester grades to our office at 734.936.0740.

We appreciate your interest in the University of Michigan and look forward to receiving the information requested. We will notify you of a final decision on your application by mid-April. Please do not hesitate to contact me, or to have your high school counselor call me, if you have any questions or concerns regarding your application.

quick question: who wrote the first deferral letter?

^
Theodore L. Spencer as well

oh, thanks. well, to me, the first and the last one pretty much seemed the same except the wording was a little different. i didn’t know that there were 3 types of letters. i just thought that there were 2, one requiring you to send in your 7th sem. grades and the other not requiring you. but, i don’t know, lol.

i got the 3rd type :] & i really, really hope it’s a good one, lol.

the first and third one seem really similar

1st seems best
3rd
2nd

i got the third

yeah, same here, i also got the 3rd. has anyone gotten accepted with that letter yet or is it only the 1st?

Igot the second letter besides mines say is from a recuritment coordinator.Woild this be better than from an AC? Im thinking maybe because I attend a inner city public school .

all at the scool may have a letter

^
Ignore my post above I was using someones phone, not like on a pc.

I have the second letter though instead of it being from a AC its from a recuirtment coordinator. Is this possibly a good or bad thing? I’am one, in fact the first one to get a deferrel on cc ( Nov 9th). Does this mean my application was consider and liked, or does this mean my application was consider far enough to the point where I was not qualified for admission that I was placed with the recuirtmeet coordinators where even there I’am set for rejection ( but deferred since UMich does not reject EA)?
In the post above I also mention that I attend a inner city public school, and likely maybe all classmates probably have their letter from a RC due to school.

^^ it’s “I’m” or “I am” not “I’am” lol!

i got deferral letter #1 on December 22. Right after winter break I sent in an updated resume and a letter, and I intend to send in my midyear grades next week.

^
Oh jeez that explains why Micro Word would make a correction when I type “I’am”. I’ve always thought it was “I’am”, gosh I really don’t want to type other.

LolyGAGHa

what was your letter about? what did you write about?

so for the first deferral letter, if that is the best one, when are they going to start releasing decisions for them?

^^ who knows. none of us works in admissions.

“Oh jeez that explains why Micro Word would make a correction when I type “I’am”. I’ve always thought it was “I’am”, gosh I really don’t want to type other.”

err…haha? not sure what you’re trying to say here…

and mustard, i was talking to someone on livechat, and she said that she thinks the first set of decisions sent out to people who were deferred will be early february.

I got # 3, ahhhhh

LolyGAGHa

what was your letter about? what did you write about?

i got the first one. they also classified me as a non-resident for the time being. hopefully that clears up by the time they re-review it.
