Also @groverrohan can I eat anywhere on campus? I heard there is no buffet at revelle
@caspin6 Yeah, it’s really not bad. Parties in the dorms are still limited; it’s mostly kickbacks but there are plenty, and full scale parties would be in the village, I-house, or off campus. The closest gym is Main Gym between Revelle and Muir (it’s not nearly as nice as RIMAC, but it does the trick).
You can eat anywhere on campus, but none of the dining halls are all-you-can-eat (meaning you can take as much as you like, but you pay per item). Food gets expensive, but I suppose the quality is marginally better.
@caspin6 In all the dorms it’s gonna be more kickbacks than parties. Those are pretty chill, but for full-scale parties you’ve got to know the right people (in the Village, I-House, or off-campus/Regents) or consider going Greek. Greeks host off-campus open parties from time to time.
The closest gym is the (misleadingly named) Main Gym, right between Revelle and Muir. It’s nowhere near as big or nice as RIMAC is, but it’s good enough that it’s not worth walking to ERC.
You can eat anywhere on campus, but just letting you know that there’s no real all-you-can-eat anywhere. You’re charged per item you purchase, not per meal. This makes the food more expensive than other campuses, but the quality is also marginally better.
@groverrohan Sweet! Sounds great! I heard so much horrible stuff about Revelle and the social scene in general but it sounds like it’s on the rise. I just couldn’t choose USC or UCSB over UCSD, I just wanted to make sure I was gonna have fun
