There is a GOD!

I was called today and told i will receive my likely letter in the mail tomorrow! The regional coordinator told me that he was pleased to inform me that I will be admitted to Yale and it was the best moment of my life!

I want everyone to know there is hope!

I WAS DEFERRED BY STANFORD SCEA! NEVER GIVE UP!

BULLDOG BULLDOG!

Are you a QuestBridge applicant, and if not,

When did you submit your application?

Are you a URM?

Did you interview?

I need to find a pattern! The memory of the euphoric rush from my MIT likely is making me crave a Yale likely :P

I looked at your stats and WOAH!

You definitely deserved that call. CONGRATULATIONS and I hope to meet you next year!!

Wow that must've been the greatest news you've ever received! CONGRATS!

(but I totally second golden, what's the pattern here? not to bust your amazing day with CC ridiculousness, but would you mind saying something about what kind of applicant you are? Just for all of us hopefuls :) Thanks! And congrats again! You should be very proud!!)

A great example of why likely letters are sent.

Congrats on the letter!

Straight up legit. I envy you more than you can imagine.

I just got my e-mail from my interviewer today, and it made me happy enough haha :)

Congrats man! I looked at your stats too, you really worked for it! I'm getting excited for you just thinking about how incredible that must be Hahahah

Ditto to hookem ^ I envy you like crazy, but then I think that if I were to get a likely letter by some terrible accident, that it would be completely unfair to all the other applicants like you who totally deserve it =P

I just checked out his stats, too.....bad idea.

Now I feel like a pile of manure.

curls into fetal position and cries self to sleep

Thanks for all the congrats guys!

For the inquiring minds

1) I am not questbridge or any other special program

2) I am white, male

3) Not athlete or legacy

I submitted my app on December 28th
I am from an under-represented state (Louisiana)

Good luck to everyone and keep your hope!

^ I would respectfully (but strongly) disagree with #3.

You were on the USA National sailing team for 3 years, and mentioned that you would pursue sailing at the varsity level in college. Whether you made direct contact with the coach or not, I bet Yale likes a solid sailer with, of course, many other things going for him :)

Yale > Stanford

Welcome to the Eli clan!

Wow, congrats! I didn't know they sent likely letters at all. Do they do this for everyone or only a select few?

^ lol, well if cgye is the typical recipient of a Yale likely letter, the answer is "only a select few."

Congrats!

Has anyone else heard from Yale, or any other schools for that matter, yet?
