Got my sons’ appointee kit today Came Fedex. I guess its really happening. How many days left redhead?

Is that the 2nd packet you got or the initial letter of appointment? I am assuming it is the 2nd, the one you would get after accepting the appointment, right?

What part of the country are you from? (just wondering when I'll get mine).

The kit usually refers to the 2nd packet.

98 days, jwags! Hoo-ah! :)

So I can be expecting the kit soon? I'm so excited!

It's the kit with his p.o. box and everything. Mitchell - We're in Michigan.

That's awesome! I can't wait to get mine. I'm from Georgia, so hopefully I'll get mine by tomorrow.

I got mine today too! - Central Pennsylvania

oh wow, it's finally coming. it's starting to feel more and more real. so does anyone else feel weird when your friends start talking about college, "yeah, san diego is going to be so tight. i'm gonna go to the beach every day." and then the awkward silence follows before you go, "....yeah, i can't wait to....do push-ups?"

Not weird, proud.

congrats on getting the packets. just a hint that might help (my mom did it for me without me knowing):

set up some envelopes and print out your address on them and give them to riends. possibibly with stamp if you want. that way its easier for ppl to send you mail. i got many letters during basic, and that helps a lot. just make sure its plain white, no stickers or perfume

oh i meant it jokingly, but i guess online forums aren't the best places for displaying affectations of my voice.

Pretty much.

and just to let you know, the first time you go home... thats an incredible feeling. all the things you go through and accomplish are uncomparable with anything your friends have done

Mine came in the mail today. Lots of forms and info.

Yup, when you return home, you may feel a bit out of touch with your friends due to the nature of your experience and the new friends you will have made.

like hornetguy: he's a great friend. there are some sweet peeps here

So they did send the packets yesterday. And through FedEx no less. Cool! Well, I guess I'll be watching my mailbox tomorrow, since I'm in NC and the upper East Coast got their packets today. And Bluemer, you're right. It's feeling more real every day!

why thank you eagle. You are a crazy one indeed. ;)

i like the winkey guy. enjoy spring break
