<p>Well, Jesminder, IhateCa said that is the job of the UN. I was attacking the UN not IhateCA. Your comments are just assumptions on your part. I am afraid you have no idea what you are talking about.

<p>Look at you, assumptions again. I never said you attacked IhateCA, did I? </p>

<p>

And ihateCA never said the UN has or hasn't done anything productive, (S)he said that it's their "job". You're taking everything everyone has said out of context and twisting it into something completely off from what they've said.

</p>

<p>No. Read. </p>

<p>Please tel me how my comments are taking on assumptions, how do I not know what I'm talking about? I'd like some examples of said allegations.</p>

<p>The ripcurl, that is absolutely ludicrous. I am sure Cheney did it purposly. I watched the news this eve and saw Hillary claiming that the fault lies in the Bush administration because because they waited overnight to tell of the happening. Hillary loves to point fingers, does she not?</p>

<p>Exactly as I thought. You have nothing. Be gone with you, and take your b.s. with you.</p>

<p>Hate:
Red states, except Colorado</p>

<p>Like:
Most blue states</p>

<p>The U.N is ineffective because the U.S. believes it can push its own agenda in a world organization/forum.
and it can. it has the power to do so; such power was demonstrated in the bush adminstrations decision to go with war despite great European opposition with the exception of Great Britain.</p>

<p>add one more to hate list: U.S. unilateralism.</p>

<p>I am Puerto Rican. Given that my country is a colony of amerikkka, you can only imagine that I am forced to less than hate this country.</p>

<p>justinian: dont bash on hilary...she might win the election in 2008...</p>

<p>no she wont. shes a woman.</p>

<p>willtopower17,</p>

<p>From what I've heard, Puerto Rico gets some pretty swell deals for being a territory. Oh, and the "Amerikkka?" Super clever. You should do standup, it's soooo original.</p>

<p>willtopower17: AmeriKKKa? You disgrace the philosopher's memory you ripped your handle from.</p>

<p>Ripcurl, let us hope she does not win. According to this past election, AMERICA is a largely conservative nation. People will not stand for a person like Hillary.</p>

</p>

<p>Not necessarily true. While the US is more conservative than many of its European allies, it's by no means good social science to say that it's conservative based on an election.</p>

<p>Many things make middling, centrist voters swing left or right. In the case of the past election, one of the key factors was a decisive increase in per capita disposable income due to both tax cuts and decent real GDP growth. Many voters likely voted for Bush not because of his social policies, but because his economic policies put more money in voter's hands (for better or for worse.)</p>

<p>Even a swing in Congressional districts is not terribly telling when it comes to political tendencies. Americans tend to be very hard to read politically. Most polls show that Americans will in fact swing either way depending on the context. It's likely that in the case of the Congressional move to the GOP, we are seeing both the consequences of continued incumbent fatigue (remember, the Dems controlled Congress for decades prior to the Gingrich revolution) and poor handling of elections by the Democratic Party. Again, this doesn't necessarily mean that the US is more conservative. In fact, most political scientists agree that the vast majority of American voters are centrists.</p>

<p>Hillary would be your party's greatest gift to us right-wingers - instant victory.</p>

<p>But does she eat Quayle???</p>

<p>Hate: Wasteful sloth population</p>

<p>Love: The "correction"</p>

<p>Hate:
-social security out of my paychecks
-taxes - although i know they're necessary, it doesnt mean i have to like them!
-people who think christians are completely stupid and ignorant
-christians who think everyone else is going to hell
-the need for instant gratification
-fast food, even though some does taste good, it still sucks
-the fact that it is 2006, and people in the US still think that people from states like nebraska still dont have electricity and drive tractors to school
-the fact that people dont know where nebraska is
-no child left behind - good concept, but doesnt allow accelerated students to excel more
-obsession with having to be able to drive
-obsession with physical appearance like needless plastic surgery
-21 year old drinking age - too late to change now, but why it was ever made 21 is just ridiculous
-college tuition and the fact that no fin. aid is for the middle class -> the poor get gov't aid, the rich dont need it, and people like me are screwed</p>

<p>Love:
-the fact that i could really draw anything i like (ie cartoons) and people have to accept my right to do so
-cheap gas compared to europe
-ability to visit nearly 50 different "cultures" in the 50 different states
-opportunities that are available
-most of the food - ie the chinese food that really was invented in america but is still considered chinese
-no immediate threat of being killed for my beliefs
-being able to travel almost anywhere, but still knowing that i have a home in america to come back to</p>

<p>Hate:
the ignorance of a great majority of people ( CCers are definitely not part)
foreign policy
Bush and his whole administration
materialism
obsession with "democracy" and the "need" to make sure that all countries are "democratic"
cuban embargo
the way medicine works ( US could learn a thing or two from canada)</p>

<p>love:
NY
universities
the freedom to express your opinion... unfortunately ( I have no idea how to transalte this, so all of you who know spanish help me out) sometimes this "libertad se vuelve libertinaje"
career opportunities</p>

<p>clinton</p>
