Things you LOVE about CORNELL

I know there has been a post like this already but I figured I'd start a new one to get all the incoming freshman excited about Cornell. It would be great if any current students could add some things to this list:

Current Cornellians add your own things to this list and get the prefrosh excited about Cornell.

sake bombing?

many beautful deep gorges to fall into should i get a b :-)

I can't wait to sake bomb! It's when u drop sake into a drink n chug, woooo. Unfortunately that's something u pretty much need to be 21 for since ppl really only do it in restaurants lol.

I can tell you some even though I'm not there yet lol

-The Gorges
-Ithaca the college town
-Ithaca College girls coming up to Cornell to party
-Cross Country Week (I think that's wat its called...where a gourmet chef from somewhere in the country comes and cooks for us for a week!).
-Slope Day
-The Dalai Llama is coming!
-Getting a "wow!" everytime you tell someone you are going to Cornell
-Hockey and Lacrosse

k I'm done for now cuz I don't feel like thinking about more lol

"Unfortunately that's something u pretty much need to be 21 for since ppl really only do it in restaurants lol."

No...they don't ID. Cops started cracking down on it at the end of the year though, so I guess it's a risk if you're underaged.

o and that crap load of clubs (as in activity clubs lol). I can't wait to check them all out!

ammarsfound, if everyone jumped into a gorge if they got a b, there wouldn't be a lot of students left. most of the intro classes have b to c+ averages.

J-Roth. Duhhhhhhhhhh

Cornell's campus is gorges!

Lots of engineering project teams and research opportunities.

personally i like savion "da black kidd" agard and also how cornell puts sunny pictures in their advertising posters, documents etc, when it is sunny at cornell only when the students are NOT there

hey...When/where will tickets be available to new students to see the Dalai Lama??

Well. It's nice in the beginning of the year and near the end of the year. =D. The middle is kinda mushy, rainy, snowy.

Awesome, I love rain, slush, and snow! :D (I'm not being sarcastic). Much better than sun.

sake bombing is the most important part of freshman orientation

i saw a picture of cornell's campus on April 16th, and it was snowing HARD with probaly around 6" on the ground already. i mean, im fine with snow and all but in freakin middle of april?? snow is supposed to stop in march :(

The tickets were on sale a while ago. I think you can still buy some since there are so many seats http://www.namgyaltickets.com/user_pages/event.asp?id=11&cid=11

Cornell is also going to sell some itself in August -I think-

about that ^^^ the speech is on the last day of our fall recess (Oct.6-9), such great timing lol and ya they'll have tix on Aug. 15th for new students!

How much will tickets be?

they range from $20-125!
