thinking creatively

So I want to go into something like creative writing or english or art (visual and performing). What should I do? (Which college, classes, requirements)

PS Im still a junior in high school. what would help me to get into those sorts of fields?

Focusing is certainly necessary. Questions spring to mind, the answers to which you probably know. You mention creative writing, art and performing and then you mention English. What talents are you already developing? Ask yourself, are you an accomplished visual artist in any medium? Have you succeeded within your grade and sphere in any theatrical productions? I would then ask the same questions regarding your writing. English doesn’t necessarily draw on talent or practice. You can become a teacher of English literature without any training before your major, but for those other things you mentioned you might want to have a foundation already.

You leave the possibilities to broad right now. Everything you’ve mentioned I have loved and tried and I am now transfering to UCSC, which can facillitate any academic pursuit implied by the fields you’ve mentioned. Answer the above questions and I could probably give you a better idea how to proceed.
