Third Year in Community College with low GPA

So far I have taken close to 60units and I need 30 more units to transfer. My GPA however is low, its 2.4 as of now
I’m really worried about my chances of transferring. I’ve been sleeping in class and just wasting time. Right now I’m really focused and trying to get my gpa up as soon as possible. Last Quarter (school runs in Quarter rather than semesters) I’ve received all B’s and it bumped my grade up dramatically. I’m at a 2.4 gpa i want to go to a CSU in california, i am a california resident. Lastly my major is Computer Science. So my question is if i stay another year and keeping my grades high will it be enough? will i be able to reach a 2.9 GPA or 3.0gpa (at minimum) or at the highest a 3.5 gpa or 3.6?

A couple of thoughts - your local CSU probably has a spot for you - even with your current GPA. Certainly worth exploring.
With your comment about sleeping in class and a 2.4 GPA as evidence, i suggest a CS major might not be an appropriate major. It is a very time consuming and difficult major - there is no shame in switching to CIS, Business or whatever.

Why are you sleeping in class? What do you do at home when you should be sleeping?
Do you come to class prepared, sit in the front, have 2-3 questions ready to be asked? Do you go to office hours regularly? Do you meet with tutors for any subject in which the first grade is lower than B (B-, C+, etc)? Doing all of this would help you get to a 3.0 - you do need to get nothing but grades in the B+ to A range from now on though.

Do you have any D’s or F’s? If so, think about Academic Renewal. Any F’s will be deleted from transcript and will boost your gpa. They won’t be officially deleted from your records but it help when you apply to colleges.
