LOL thats hilarious. i interviewed for the trustee as well and im waiting to see if i get it.. but. they told me that all the trustee candidates will get either trustee or presidential..! those liars. :/ that sucks for you.. but u got into princeton.. cONGRATS! heard they have good finaid.. so screw usc

I interviewd the trustee and got the same letter. It also says that you can get more then one scholarship so according to me it is not over yet. Furthermore i am planning NW HPME program so at this point it dont matter

You got into Princeton?? This is a complete non-issue, then. Even if USC gave me a full ride and an extra 5 grand of spending money, I'd still take Princeton. Congrats.

because I understand that you can get multiple scholarships. If you are in the National Merit range you may get one of those scholarships also. That would net out to 3/4 tuition or about $22.5K per year. Translating into an overall cost of $18K/year for you . . . much less than P-ton, Duke (unless you get the Robertson/Morehead thing), etc.

Regardless, you should not choose one school over the other just for the money. You need to really like the school first and then the money would just be a bonus.

FYI, the National Merit Finalist Presidential scholarship is mutually exclusive, meaning that they will revoke the Deans scholarship if you get the presidential scholarship.
