I am planning to submit my UC apps by thanksgiving, so anyways for APUS history, i got a B 2nd semester, but i got a 5 on the AP so i told my teacher (in September) and she said she will change it to an A, but a few days ago, i checked my transcript to find that she forgot to do so. So basically, should i write on the apps that i have an A in APUSH, or should i keep it at a B.. which i am not very happy about.

i think that is horrible that u are going to get ur grade change. its cheap in my book. if ur that worried about a B then I am assuming that ur very qualified and probably wont have a problem getting into UC, being a student in Chicago and a lot of my friends are applying. Dont fret and dont cheat. live well.

Why should she change your grade in the class based on how you did on the test? Those are separate ways of measuring your knowledge of the material. Had you gotten a 2 on the AP test and an A in the class College Board would not have changed that score to a 5 upon seeing your transcript.

You earned a B, and your transcript says you got a B. Why would you write anything else?

I agree with above posts.

I hate to be repetitive, but this is a ridiculous question/idea. Writing an A on application when you earned a B is completely dishonest, regadless of what the teacher might have told you.

Also, how could you ask the teacher for an A just because of a standardized test score? You EARNED a B throughout the year, and you are in NO WAY entitled to an A just because of how you on an AP exam. How would you feel if you had earned a 2 on the AP, then your teacher changed your grade to a D?

By the way, I don't know why the teacher would even agree to change one person's grade, as it's completely unfair to people who truly earned A grades in the year-long course.

hmmm, yeah u guys are right. it wouldn't be fair, ill keep it at B and cancel proposal. thanks for pointing it out.
