This is the big week for waitlistees

New round of application discussions are starting while we're still waiting for info for Class of 2012...

Lmao thats actually a really good point, Columbia has been more than a little rude with us.

They pretty much kept us in the dark for a long while and now they're just stringing us along. =/ I'll bet they're not even looking at applications anymore. They know they're not taking anyone, but they're waiting to send that mass e-mail anyway. D<

at this pt, I hate columbia :(

WHOA a little harsh there tealover. I still would say yes in a heartbeat

Haha! Me too! XD

I don't think i would say yes anymore...to be honest I never even like it that much, I just figured w/e becuase I got rejected from my first choice so there is no hope there

I still like the school. And I'm pretty sure I'd say yes...though I say that now. xD If it really happened I'd have to think long and hard. I mean, it'd seem like a waste since I've already put a lot of money and time into my other school.

i would most probably say no too....I've already registered for my classes and have conditioned myself to liking nyu, and doubt im going to say yes to columbia

Please please send them an email saying that.
(and a p.s. saying take johnny howard! haha)

I'm registered for all my classes too as well as gone to Boston for orientation. It was expensive too since I had to pay for the orientation and for the flight. =/ I'm from Texas too so it was a particularly long flight.

@johnnyhoward3: I seriously doubt anyone's going to drop from the waitlist at this point. We've waited too long and I think everyone wants to see this thing through.

lol, but I would like to get accepted too, so that I can tell people that i turned down an ivy for nyu : P

I was kidding, of course you want to find out, we've been tortured this long, you need to ride it out another day (I am pretty sure tomorrow is the day of judgment) If I get home from work and there's not a message from Columbia I will promptly defenestrate my laptop (defenestrate=dictionary.com word of the day, and a damn good word at that)

Yeah, we can figure out the word meaning from the context clues. ^_~ What makes you think we'll find out something tomorrow?

Because its the end of the week and transfer waitlistees found out this week, I don't know I have no concrete proof it just feels like it should be today...

For us they said by the end of June...but I dunno what they meant by that. =/ The last day of June? Somewhere around that time? They're so vague. =/

Ok so I just called...The guy was vague, but said "I've been told to say that it will be before July 1st, but I can't tell you when, it could be up to the last minute." I then asked him if they were considering accepting anymore students or if they were full and he said "we are definitely considering accepting, we're waiting to see what happens."

pshh i hate how they are so vague all the time

note..."considering."

that's a "no" in adcom language
