<p>We have assumed son was getting an appointment because he has an LOA and a nom. Linder's office called Friday to tell him he was getting one, and DODMERB changed status yesterday. I guess it's going to be this week...then he has a big decision to make!</p>

<p>Got my application done in early October. I wish they would just look at my file already and give a decision; my new obsession is checking DoDMERB once a day, even though they haven't updated anything since September 6th when I got my waiver.</p>

<p>Considering the classes I take and the well-roundedness of my character, grades and class rank are quite good. Especially for my state of chronic underachievers. SATs are high middle of the pack for class of 2011.</p>
<p>Not sure what you mean by admissions officer. If that's the BGO, I asked him around the middle of December, and he said my application had not been reviewed yet. But he said all I could do is wait.</p>

<p>Yeah- on your academy sight it lists someone as your admissions officer- he/she is different from BGO</p>
<p>I have been in touch with mine quite a bit through e-mail: he is awesome and has been great help!</p>
<p>Your admissions officer is assigned by your geographic region. It's on CIS..there is an email address, but you can also call and speak with him/her. I've only called once, but she was very helpful and didn't mind my calling. Good luck.</p>

<p>I wouldn't sweat it. The DODMERB site is managed by BAE Systems and is probably maintained in India. I am sure that BAE Systems doesn't give a rip one way or the other.</p>

<p>wow, Simayan and hooyahmicah, I admire your self control. I used to check DODMERB upwards of 3 times a day. I gave it up for a week (a very hard thing to do) and finally broke the next Monday, only to find that I had gotten an appt to USNA. </p>

<p>If you are simply finding out what your admission's status is, I would go through your BGO. The reason they have a BGO is to have "admission" representation tailored to a small area. The BGO should be able to give you an update. It may be unnecessary to call admissions. Unless your BGO does not communicate well, I wouldn't recommend you calling admissions. Use your admissions chain-of-command.</p>
<p>Right now, all you can do is wait, unless you can provide "updated" information to USNA, such as semester grades sent directly from your school. The waiting game is tough...you just have to keep yourself distracted.</p>
<p>Guess what! I just checked the CIS and it showed that they have received my nomination. Then I checked DODMERB and it shows that an offer has been extended with no subagents (loa). It was dated Jan. 7th so hoepfully the appointment will come in tomorrow's mail =). Good Luck to all.</p>
