Thoughts on College choices.. Australian exchange student

hey there,

I'm planning on doing an exchange from australia to the US next year. I'll always be looking forward to the learning aspect but i'm also very excited to experience the social side of college. These are a few of the universities my uni here in Australia are partners with... unc chapel hill, east carolina university, michigan state university and arizona state university. Which ones are great in terms of a well balanced academic and social/party life and a nice town? I'll be 21 at the time as well. I appreciate any responses!

UNC Chapel Hill is not only a good school for academics but also has a great social scene as well. You’ll be able to get a feel for what it’s like to go to an ACC basketball game as well as great college parties. I don’t know what Chapel Hill is like but if it’s anything like Auburn then you will be welcomed by everyone in the restaurants, stores, etc.

ASU is extremely large, and therefore has a great social scene. Parties all the time at not only fraternity and sorority houses but houses and apartments off campus. The girls are also extremely beautiful I heard. I don’t know much about the education side of ASU, but you can’t go wrong with an extremely large school like ASU.

Idk much about MSU and ECU, but MSU does have a long standing tradition of great basketball just like UNC, and since it’s a Big 10 school you can bet that MSU is at least above mediocre in the academic area. I hope this helped!

thanks mate, appreciate it!

1 UNC (hands down in my mind the best of the bunch), #2 ASU (beats Michigan State due to weather), #3 Michigan State, #4 East Carolina

UNC-CH is NC flagship school. Great college town. Challenging academics.
