Thurgood Marshall?!?!?!?

I was just wondering, why is it that i never see anything or hear anything about Marshall? Does the college suck or something?

lol i guess it's neglected. it's like the middle child. :)

I'd say its probably second or third "best". Ties with ERC.

More like 3rd - 4th

Who's in 2nd then?

Marshall is certainly a more favorable college than most of the others...

I think it's because every college has a reputation for something (good or bad) and Marshall doesn't quite yet (and if it does, I sure haven't heard of it).

Warren: anti-social nerdy engineers
Sixth: camp snoopy
Revelle: ugly GE's and dorms
ERC: nicest dorms. ugly GE's
Muir: easiest GE's
Marshall: ????

Muir has not so good looking dorms as well.

I would say Warren is second.

Muir dorms are actually quite nice now (well the inside). The dorms aesthetic appearance actually doesn't matter too much. When I was at Muir I never said "Wow, I hate this college b/c of the ugly dorms"

Ahh yes, I forgot about Muir and its future prisons. But I do agree with Liux, though the exterior may not be desirable, the dorms are actually nice inside.

I actually put Muir as my third choice because I thought it was way too fugly (the exterior) lol.

... You based your ranking based on the the outside appearance of the dorms...

Why? Does that bother you?

I didn't like the way Muir looked. I heard Warren was a popular college (boy did I hear that wrong). I didn't hear a thing about Marshall. I was warned about Warren and ERC's GE's and I heard Sixth was camp snoopy. That's how I ranked the colleges. I hope you don't fall head over heels after hearing that. Frankly, as long as I'm not in Revelle or Sixth, I wouldn't have cared at all what college I was in.

I'm in thurgood marshall. We are know for setting up a lot of social activities. And GE's are pretty easy. I just went to orientation, so I prob don't know much.

i was in erc and had a bunch of friends in marshall. its right across the street so i pass tmc on my way to classes all the time. i think what makes it more unknown is because even though it does have social activities, its dorms and res halls are dispersed from torrey pines all the way to geisel. therefore its residents arent always gathered in one spot easily and so in general do not have a big social "personality".

That's ironic that you've never heard anything about Thurgood Marshall College because it was involved in a controversial amendment with its DOC program this year. There was a huge student protest and walk-out involving DOC students. You're actually very lucky to be in TMC because I find that the DOC program is very interesting because it discusses controversial topics.
