Tigertown Bound!

They also say give it up to 10 business days, which I think is a VERY conservative estimate in the mail service.

Congrats to all who were admitted to CHC!!! My son did not make the cut, but the letter was very tactful with encouragement to persevere and reapply. Being admitted to Clemson is an honor and we are very happy to have it as an option.

Thank you @WeSayWarEagle .

After a grueling 6 month wait my letter finally arrived here in the upstate! I was accepted to the CoE with a 3.35/4.2 GPA (I had very strong upwards trend), 2030 SAT (690M/680CR/660W), and 9 AP courses (I also had great ECs but they donā€™t really take ECs into consideration).

Congrats @RunTheRedLights

Congratulations to all the new tigers! My D was waitlisted, unfortunately. Does anyone have much experience with that? Iā€™m not holding my breath, but would love advice if anyone has any.

I have just the article for you, to put being wait-listed in the proper perspective. It isnā€™t a rejection, just a ā€œWe want to see moreā€. http://amplifier.gatech.edu/articles/2015/12/other-d-word-college-admissions Bear in mind this is an article in reference to Ga Tech, but the content is applicable to your D.

@newcollegemom16 I think you can look up the common data set and see how many were waitlisted last year and how many were accepted off of wait list

@newcollegemom16 In 2014-2015 year, it looks like a little over 2400 were offered a spot on the waitlist, 895 accepted a place on the waitlist and 10 were admitted off of the waitlist

@carolinamom2boys, @WeSayWarEagle thanks for the info. Sheā€™s disappointed because itā€™s been her dream school for years. Iā€™m sure being OOS didnā€™t help. But sheā€™ll take a place on the wait list, because miracles do happen  but also move forward with her second choice, which also offered her a good merit scholarship. Itā€™'s just so hard to see your kids disappointed. Oh well.

@newcollegemom16, this is my 3rd time around and one thing I will say is that kids are resilient. The disappointment will fade as she moves forward and embraces the school she accepts. Other question: did your D get an envelope informing her of the WL decision or did she find out via email or portal? Weā€™re still waiting to hear from Clemson.

Has anyone received a rejection yet from Clemson? We have not received anything and are located in the Atlanta area so we are thinking maybe the acceptance, and wait lists went out first - and we are bracing for a rejection letter :frowning:

Acceptance letters just went out last week @Lilly5 . Itā€™s too soon to say . Good luck.

@acme she got a letter Saturday. Weā€™re just across the line in NC, so it doesnā€™t take mail long to get here from Clemson. Not sure where youā€™re located, so maybe youā€™ll hear something the first of the week?

@Lilly5 We are in the Atlanta area as well, and my son received his acceptance letter on Saturday. Interestingly, he was admitted to his second choice major with a $7500 OOS scholarship (we werenā€™t expecting any merit money). Heā€™s not sure how he feels about this as it isnā€™t really what he wants to study; it was more of something he wanted to double major in if he had the time/room in his schedule after his first choice major. He needs to call Admissions and see what the situation is with admitting to certain majors and the possibility of having it changed.

Has anybody heard from Massachusetts or near Massachusetts?

When are the emails with our log in info to check supposed to come out? It said Feb 15 but what time

If we didnā€™t get an email yet is that a bad sign?

Congratulations to you @mre1991 thatā€™s awesome! Iā€™m sure they can work something out with the majors. We didnā€™t know anything about an email coming out today? Is that suppose to happen?

No. I donā€™t think so they usually come out later. Itā€™s weird because thereā€™s no info whatsoever about when theyā€™re supposed to come out.
