Time Management Help?

Hi! I am going to be a junior (in high school) in September and I would like to know how I can manage my time better so I can actually get decent hours of rest each night. I try to maximize my time and I am not a procrastinator (normally...). I play field hockey in the fall, and row crew in the spring which keeps me very busy. I normally go to bed around midnight and wake up around six thirty which is very tiring. My classes next year will be Pre BC Calc H, English H, Spanish 4 H, Chinese 3, History H, Biology H. I really need help with time management- especially since junior year will be a rough one! :) Thanks!

You get home from sports by 7pm.
Homework 730pm-1130pm.
Plenty of time if you stay focused.
There should be no problem doing all your work IF you stay off Fb, twitter, all social media. Virtually impossible for teens.
Do homework during lunch and end of class instead of chatting for 10 min waiting for the bell.
Doing homework Friday after school, all day Sat until done. Then on Sunday, you relax and read ahead, go over notes, begin studying for that week’s tests, work on long term projects.
Reminder:
You should also be preparing for your SATs/ACT now.
Your friends will put pressure on you to slack.
If you think you cannot do the work then drop a class and save your gpa.
I’d drop Spanish 4.

Well, I don’t have a Facebook, Twitter, Myspace, etc. because I know that it would be a distraction! But yes… I should probably start doing homework whenever I can besides when I get home. But how do I also have a social life if I’m always doing work?! Also, I already started my ACT and SAT work. Scored a 32 on the ACT the summer before my sophomore year but I still have to take the SATs. P.S: I like both of my languages! I feel as if they will be very useful in the future when I am a doctor (at least- that’s my plan). Thanks for your advice though. :)

You can have a social life but schoolwork comes first.
No one is making you take all those classes but you.
Time management is prioritizing tasks.
Sacrifices now will pay off if you get into your dream school.
Good luck.

This is true. Except my parents won’t let me drop any classes either. Thanks for your help. I’ll probably consider dropping a sport.

Batllo, thank you for your first post! What you said is very helpful to me as well being a rising sophomore. Thank you!

waste less time sleeping. Or do no touch distractors until after you finish your written work.
