Tips/Advice for Self Studying AP Psychology!?!?!?!?!

I have a problem studying ap psych and I need advice.

Ok so according to the countless threads on college confidential, "If you want to get a 4-5, just read barrons, take practice tests, get flashcards"

I bought the Ap Psych barrons book, the Ap Psych barrons flash cards, and also the Ap Psych 5steps to a 5 book (i probs wont use this one though).

My problem is though, is that almost all of these terms in here look foreign to me, and i have a lot of trouble memorizing all of them. There is literally 50-60 terms for each chapter, plus there are all of these body parts, scientists, and methods that i cant sink into my head. I only started studying a week ago and I have 4 other exams to study for. What should I do? I need at least a 4.

oh also, should i even bother reading through barrons or could i just get a 4-5 by just memorizing flashcards?

This usually happens with self-studying. Last year, I self studied AP Env. Science and was bombarded with tons of vocab words.

I’m taking AP psychology but technically took the course (IB psych course). From what I see, a lot of psych stuff is covered in the old ap bio (brain structure, conditioning, imprinting) so if you took ap bio (before this year) you may know some of the chapters

as for studying it, most terms in psych are intuitive but only reading a review book can be dry so try checking out a copy of myers. It’s an easy read but pretty long. If you feel as if you won’t have time to go through myers, then take notes on your review book (writing things down helps you remember them) or just study flash cards
