im not a da and want some tips to do well in this class.
- Go to every class. My finite professor did not take attendance, so his class was about half-full every day. Unsurprisingly, lots of people that skipped class failed the exams. I think going to every class is probably the #1 thing you can do to do well in Kelley. You're going to be mildly sick, tired, just don't feel like going to class sometimes, but you still need to go.
- Do all of the homework and don't give up until you get the correct answer. Finite homework is all online, and most professors give you a ton of attempts, so you should be able to get 100% on every homework assignment. Not only will that help your grade, it will help you learn the material and do better on exams. It's perfectly fine to ask others for help on the homework, but don't let them give you the answers or do it for you.
- Do the practice exams before actual exams. They are pretty similar, and they'll help show you what you still need to study.
- Ask the professor after class/in office hours if you have questions. Most professors are nice and helpful. If you have a basic question that you don't get answered, you'll probably fall behind when the material builds on itself.
