Hi, I’m going to be a senior this coming year and I was wondering if any of you knew any tips for getting into UF.
If they look for anything in particular and what could possibly boost my chances, thanks!
As a Senior, there isn’t much left to do, your GPA is set (they look at 9th thru 11th grade) as well as your EC’s…
UF uses holistic admissions, keep up with your EC’s (or work) over your senior year, and make sure you put in effort on your essay, it matters at UF. Try to keep your grades up to A’s and B’s, bad grades your senior year could get any offer from UF rescinded.
Apply ($25 fee) for housing early (around October or late September), as this will set your priority date for choosing your housing.
Get a copy of your school transcripts. Use it when you fill out the SSAR (Student Self-reported Academic Record).

This year, UF is using the new Coalition Application:

The application is due Nov 1’st. Try to have it done a few days before that date!!
UF will accept SAT/ACT scores, up until the end of December. So you can re-take these test in November, if needed.
Good Luck!
