I just got mine through e-mail!! I'm in the New Studio on Broadway for Acting. I was a little confused at first, because I thought the New Studio was just for MT, but the little brochure that was attached to the e-mail says otherwise. Does anybody know about this? Is the acting curriculum for the New Studio related to MT curriculum there? I know these questions are a little difficult to answer, considering how the studio is NEW and all, but if anybody has any info, I'd be very grateful!

Also, just out of curiousity, does anybody know approximately how many people are admitted into each studio? Thanks!

The New Studio on Broadway has both a musical theater and acting component. It was never just for MT.

^^Here is some of the information.
There will be 32 students your year, and the course descriptions/curriculum are also on that page.

Whoa! I was accepted to Meisner! I was not expecting that! I mentioned Adler as my choice during the intrerview, but I later realized I was more atteacted to Meisner. This is just…wow… :D

My D was also accepted to Meisner. We know the least about this studio but from what I’ve read it sounds great. Smaller than the others. She is an MT and was hoping for New Studio on Bway but is really intrigued by MEisner.

My D, a current student at Tisch in CAP21, got an email from the drama department chair which said that they are expanding the Meisner Studio and accepting (I think it said) almost twice as many kids as before. The idea is that it should be the same size as the others.

Thanks NotMamaRose, that explains why I personally know two people who were also accepted to Meisner.
