Tisch Vs. USC

hey everyone. I'm a highschool senoir that was admitted to both usc film school and nyu tisch for film and tv production. I am a brooklyn resident, and of course one would think I'd go to NYU but I actually took a few film classes at the school and was disappointed. Therefore I applied to USC. I am visiting next week, and thinking things over. I am under the impression that after USC job opportunities will be more....available? It just seems like LA is the place to be if I want to work in the industry some day. Please correct me if I'm wrong. Help?
Can't decide which to choose? >.<
(I was also admitted to Bard, Boston University School of Communications for Film, Muhlenberg, Emerson, Macauley Honors, and was weightlisted at Vassar. I visited all these schools and not thrilled about Emerson.)
Any advice would totally be appreciated!

My son is a graduate of USC School of Cinematic Arts in the critical studies, not production, program. Are you in the writing, critical studies, or production? At USC you will be required to take courses in each area regardless of which major you are in. Internships are widely available. My son was on the film floor in New-North his first year and is still friends with many of those people. The production program is demanding of your time. Many of the production majors received awards for their grades at the graduation ceremonies but my son was highly skeptical of their achievements because they did substantially less writing in their courses then the critical studies majors. His feeling was that anyone can learn how to set a camera angle or light a set, but the question is really why did Orson Wells do it that way and where did a any particular film fit into the cultural events of the times.

Do understand that a USC degree in film (regardless of the major) will open the door for you in LA (the Trojan Family thing), but you have to be talented to succeed, work well with others, show up on time, and have a lot of luck; a lot of luck. My son seems to be finally on his way doing social media advertising for films. It is also quite likely that what you want out of life as an 18 year old will be quite different than what you will actually be doing as a 27 year old.
