Just out of curiosity, how many hours of sleep do you guys get every night? With all those high grades and EC's it seems impossible to get even 4 hours.....

around 7

I'm on varsity water polo and we have daily, year-round practices from 6:30-7:30 AM and 3:30-6:30 PM.

I am taking 4 AP classes and 2 honors. 2 maths, 2 sciences. I try to finish my homework over the weekends, and average 3-4 hrs daily.

If I don't get enough sleep, it's because I stay up trying to watch Leno and Conando every night. (Yes, that's right. Conando. Representin' Hahvahd on Late Night).

saxfreq, didn't you get accepted to harvard?

I get around 7 hours a night on average (some nights I get less, but then I'll make up for it the next day). That's 'cause my scholastic and especially my extracurricular workloads are really variable, so I can plan pretty well (except for Extended Essay week...any other procrastinatory IBers here?). I don't have a lot of regular busywork for school (except in french class, EW), just a lot of studying and papers and labs and stuff, so that varies, and same goes for outside IB work. As for MAJOR extracurriculars, I have one that I do for a specific amount of time every day (except that this year a combination of various accidents and changes, and our own experiences taking over the club, made us decide to start transitioning to next year's leadership, so it hasn't been quite as time-consuming as it was in the past), and then some big projects that take up my life for a week or a month and then...are done. So, really not that bad...

I... usually get plenty of sleep... that's because I am taking all my classes at the university level, so I have flexibility to designate what time my classes are and not as many hours in class... so I can juggle being president of 3 clubs, community service, linguistics research, and 17 hours of class per week, a 4.0 GPA, and still manage to get 7-9 hours of sleep per night (depending on how early my class is the next day)... which is more than a lot of young people can say these days, so I'm pretty satisfied

and how many hours do you dedicate for homework? and social life???

Sleep? What sleep? I've learned to somehow get all my work done half asleep. In all honesty, my sleep patterns are varied. Sometimes I sleep at 3 in the morning, while other times I sleep at 6 in the evening. I squeeze in sleep whenever and wherever I can - even standing up while waiting for the insanely long lines at school. But that's just me. Others probably have more regular sleeping patterns. Noentheless, I still get my daily dose of 6 hours - squeezed in one way or the other.

Usually 7 for me. x.x

usually sleep around 5 hours, now i sleep 6-8 because i have senioritis and don't do too much homework. if i don't get enough sleep, though, it's only because i procrastinate and don't start my homework until 10 at night.

For some reason, classes have gotten ridiculously ever since college apps finished. I average about nine hours a day - 3 hours for naps I take right after school and 6 hrs at night from 12AM. I can still play games for 2-3 hours every day and have never experienced senioritis.
