Is this a really hard AP? I have taken AP World History already (got a 5)... but the class just took a test on ancient art and it was insanely difficult (we had to name and date every work of art and identify the name of the artist, which was difficult because they were all ancient artists and whatnot). Is the AP actually this hard? what recommendations do you have, etc.? thanks!

This is considered one of the easier APs (unlike World History) and
particularly good for self-study if you use a cool book like the
Annotated Mona lisa.

um wow... WHen i took my test on ancient art history, it wasn't nearly that hard. But, I'm also taking/took it online.

so World history is considered one of the more difficult APs, while art history is considered easy? .... the AP itself is easy, then? no insane dating and whatever?

There arent alot of questions on specific dating when i took the test, but you should know the important time periods and influentials works of art.

Buy the REA book

how do you get the non-european art needed for the test if you only use annotated mona lisa (a really crammed book but still pretty nice)?

awesomenest class ever. Art Hist AP was actually pretty easy and you are pretty much guaranteed a 5 if you study.

Heck no. I didn't read the textbook. Didn't pay any attention in class at all. Read a 100 page art book a week before the exam and BS'ed my way to a 5. Be sure to BS a lot on the essays. One of my friends who prob know a lot more art hist than me got a 4 on it because he didnt write long enough essays.

yep. it's a test of BS'ing skills. straight-up. Although i did get 96 on the course and 5 on the exam. it's a fizzy, really. easiest AP i have ever had except for Music AP
