To anyone with a CalGrant...

I have a question for anyone with a CalGrant.
I was originally given CG A which gave me 10302. I accepted that, but then they gave me a University Grant of 8500 and Work Study of 2000. I don't want the latter and since I have already accepted the first, I wonder if UCLA has pinned me in a corner.

But for anyone with a CalGrant whose account is current, what does your BAR account balance say under "max credit card payment"? Does it say the full amount of 3500+ of does it give you a small balance of maybe only a few hundred dollars?

Thanks!

Your financial aid will be disbursed on a quarterly basis. So divide your total aid by 3 (add all grants/loans/scholarship) and see if the amount covers all of your quarterly fees. If it does, your max credit card pymt should be 0, if it doesn’t then it should be for the difference. On the other hand, if your aid exceeds your costs, then you will get a refund check.

I know that. I was looking to see if anyone who has a CalGrant that has accepted it has a BAR reading that the max credit card payment is only a few hundred dollars or if it still shows the same amount.

i accepted cal grant A and basically they’ll show the almost 4K ish bill, but the max credit is how much you pay since all your financial aid couldn’t cover all the costs for your tuition. mine is about 400$ so divided by 10K is about right

i got calgrant A as well, which was completely replaced by the SRA, and i have a max CCP of $0

Okay, damn - I guess when they give you a new efan, even if you’ve accepted the other, they automatically void it and limit you to the newest efan.
