BAR account payment?

Does anyone know what the "UCLA CC PMT" is on the UCLA BAR account?
It's $360 and I actually just paid $360 to Ashe a few days ago. I want to make sure I'm not getting double charged.

It seems like it stands for Credit Card Payment, but I'm not sure :/

I actually have a question about the BAR account too. What happens when the Maximum Amount Payable by Credit Card is lower than the balance due? Does it mean I have to send the rest by check? Is the amount shown the one due only on this month?

sorry, never mind just figured it out :o

What if the "Maximum Amount Payable by Credit Card" number is 0? Does that mean that financial aid will pay all of the balance for me?

^yes 10 char

Hey tumbleweed, just wanted to make sure. So the Maximum Credit Card Payment Allowed is the amount of money you have to pay this month? and the rest is covered by financial aid?

Yes. Retard.

On URSA under the Financial Aid Summary/Awards, if under Fall quarter there is a value for total aid disbursed, does that mean I am covered already? I already paid the Maximum Amount Payable by Credit Card.

can you pay housing fees with a debit visa card?

glasseyes: You're fine for tuition; now you get to pay for housing.

doouche: Yes.

Looks like my fin aid was dispersed tonight.

So now my balance is a -$xxxx. Does that mean I don't have to worry about paying for tuition and I'd just have to pay for housing? How would we pay for housing in this case? I mean, I don't have a BruinDirect account set up so would UCLA mail my home address the remaining -$xxxx? Oh and the -$xxxx is just remaining money from grants. I've yet to get my loans.

I am in the situation at notaznguy. THe amount due is in the negatives, and the maximum credit card payment is 0.00. Does it mean my tuition for this quarter has been covered?

On a side note, does anyone know where I can pay my housing fee? I've already payed the initial payment, but there's no bill for the rest of the housing payment.

^yeah, and how much do we pay exactly for housing the first time? the payment schedule shows a couple different plans, but it's sort of confusing...

Negatives just mean that you will be getting money disbursed to you via BruinDirect, or by check if you didnt sign up for it. That's how much money you get after they take out tuition so yes, your tuition has been paid.

As for housing, you have to do it yourself. This is the chart for what you pay:

2008-2009 On-Campus Housing Payment Plans (1002837)

You guys have Financial Aid so the last two columns pertain to you. Look under the first Plan G. This is what you'll pay for Fall quarter. So, for example, if you have a triple in a hall, look in the row that says "One room, three occupants" and then under the first Plan G column. See what meal plan you have and thats what you pay for housing. If 19P you pay $3412. If 14P you pay $3227, etc etc. If you live in a plaza you would look under "Residential Suites and Plazas" and check accordingly.

To pay for housing, go to the MyHousing website:

MyHousing (1001744)

Look under "Housing Payments." There's an option to "Make a Housing Payment." Press the link and it will direct you to where you can pay. You should know how much to pay from the chart. And that's how you do it!

I know it's really confusing the first time (it was for me). But you'll get used to it. Good luck!

hey guys,

one of my scholarships says that the money will be directly submitted to the fao on sept. 30.. the payment deadline is sept. 19.. so what should i do? should i pay the scholarship amount myself? will they send me the money back once the scholarship check comes in? or should i just wait for the scholarship check to come in?

how come I haven't received my finaid? i still have to pay a ****load??

finaid cant cover housing?

If myhousing account balance is zero, I don't have to pay, right? the reason I'm saying this is because it's still allowing me to make a payment.. :</p>

has anyone not gotten their finaid yet?
