Everybody talks about an online message saying "Cornell has not yet made a decision on your application" and how when it dissapears you get a decision within 24-48 hours.

Now, I never got a message like that. Mine simply says "Your application has been forwarded to CAS for review."
I haven't been checking too often, thinking that I won't get ahything until many, so I don't know if it ever said anything like "Cornell has not yet made a decision on your application."

Can anyone please tell me if they have a message like mine and what does it mean? Is is common? Is it the one befor or after saying "Cornell has not yet made a decision on your application" ???

Mine just says "Please submit your Cornell supplement as soon as possible" even though when I rang them ages ago about this problem they said they had everything.

:/ sorry
Do you or anyone know where it is supposed to say "Cornell has not yet made a decision on your application"?
This is freaking me out. Everyone has had this but not me... People started getting decisions as soon as April 8 last year.

mine says "Your application has been forwarded to the College of Engineering admissions office for review." I'm in the same boat, though different college.

Don't worry, mine says the same thing. I believe it said that after I got all my materials in.

I talked to the lady and she said she doesn't expect any decisions (at least for AEM) until the first week of May at the earliest because of the massive amount of freshman applicants they had to go through.

Have you guys sent in your mid-term report?

Yeah, martinibluex, don't worry yet. The fact that your app has been forwarded is a good thing. People might have started getting decisions as early as April 8th last year, but it looks like that will be unlikely this year.

I think I even read somewhere (on this board) that some of the schools' transfer app deadlines have been extended to April 15th! Can't confirm that though.

Transfer applications received for Fall 2004: 2,307
Transfer applicants offered admission for Fall 2004: 766
Transfer applicants enrolled for Fall 2004: 535

This is a realy misleading number.
College of Arts and Sciences 141/794 ~17.8%
If you take out the guaranteed transfers for NY residents in the other schools, the rates drop too.
