To declare or not to declare

Since NYU has such a prestigious business school would it just be better to not declare any major on the common app, or should I declare business? I feel like if you go undeclared you would have a much better chance

You need to apply to a school, though. So if you wanted to study business, you’d have to apply to Stern. You can, though, allow them to consider you for CAS/Steinhardt if you don’t get accepted to Stern.

If you can list more than one majors… Put business second or third

You’re not “declaring,” you’re just saying “I might major in this.” You’re applying to Stern anyway and will face the same admission rate whether you apply as an actuarial science major or a finance major. Stern knows there’s a 90% chance you’ll be a finance major anyway.

^Well put hahahaha
