To Laxfan04 and ED Applicants

I've noticed lately that some CC posters have been pretty demanding when it comes to asking you questions... but I guess it comes naturally with the anxiety involved with admissions. After all, the decision will affect where we ED kids will be for the next four years.

However, we applicants should always keep in mind that, no matter what, the adcom's decision will not affect who you are. Your worth as an individual won't be changed by a letter, no matter how much it means to you.

To Laxfan04,
I apologize on behalf of those who seemed rude in addressing questions towards you. Everyone's been overly anxious lately (probably the biggest understatement, of the year) and I guess they forget their manners when they asked questions. Anyway, I know that everyone who comes to CC everyday greatly appreciates your help. Without you we'd basically be sending our questions into the void. That said, we appreciate your help - you're the only person that's able to give us a glimpse into JHU... and that there's someone human that works around adcoms. :)

^^^nicely stated....

Agreed. Thank you Laxfan.

Thank you, Laxfan hugs!

Yes, thank you laxfan!

"and that there's someone human that works around adcoms" - so true lol =)

Thank you. I appreciate the sentiment from all of you (though the hugs scare me a bit).

And as far as "humans" working in the Admissions Office I am not the only one. I know the adcoms quite well and they all take their jobs very seriously, and have ultimate respect for the process of making such difficult decisions. They are by no way number-crunchers, they read your files in depth, get to know you, and then make hard decisions.

:)

tight hug

"though the hugs scare me a bit"

haha...
