To take or not to take.

Hello, guys. First-time poster, but I’ve been to CC a few times.

I’m an incoming junior and I met with my counselor a few weeks ago and decided to take the following classes: AP Biology, APUSH, Honors English, Spanish II, Pre-Calculus and Beginning Speech.

I have the opportunity to replace Beginning Speech with AP Stats (don’t care much for Speech), and Honors English with AP Lang and Comp. AP Biology and APUSH alone is already pretty heavy on the workload, but I can handle adding in AP Lang. My problem is that while AP Stats is by far one of the easiest APs in my school, I am quite frankly just terrible at math. I’m in Honors Algebra II right now and I currently have an 85.23. I can raise that up to a A by the end of the year, but really, mathematics has never been my point of pride.

Should I ditch Speech for AP Stats and Honors English for AP Lang? I really don’t have much of an issue opting for AP Lang, but it’s AP Stats I’m worried about. I hear that AP Stats is a lot of analysis, memorization and abstract math, and I probably won’t be too bad at it. I will, however, struggle in Pre-Calculus and I’m afraid that taking AP Stats in conjunction with Pre-Calculus will stress me out even more considering I’m taking two or three APs already.

Don’t talk a class you don’t want an are destined to do bad in. Take something you really want to take instead.

I’m in AP Stat right now, and I wouldn’t even count it as a math class! It’s a lot of writing and memorization, with some math equations mixed in. But, if you are REALLY bad at math, don’t take it! You have plenty of APs already.

I would change out Honors for AP Lang, though.
