Today I bought skinny jeans for the first time. Chances.

They're really nice, I'm mad I didn't get them earlier.

Okay, here we go. I have an idea of my chances but whatever heh.

Class rank? Or estimated rank, if your school doesn’t report it?

Top ten percent. Probably.

Honestly, your GPA is a little low, and your SATs, while impressive, aren’t a magic bullet. You’re a competitive candidate, but not an exceedingly strong one.

Pennsylvania (ED) – reach
Notre Dame (EA) – high match/low reach
Michigan (EA) – high match
Rutgers Newark BA/MD (EA) – don’t know much about this or the Pharmacy program
Rutgers Pharmacy (EA)
Rutgers – safety
Emory – reach
UNC Chapel Hill – reach; near impossible OOS w/o hook
NYU – high match/low reach
Carnegie Mellon – high match/low reach
Boston College – match
Vanderbilt – reach

Everyone knows the GPA is low and the SAT is high so that’s not new news.

bump.

You look like an extremely generic applicant. You need to do something that stands out.

You’re right. I forgot to add that I was the glacier that sunk the Titanic, one of the agents who made Marilyn Monroe as famous as she was, and the Navy Seal who shot Osama bin Laden in the head

EDIT Not Marilyn Manson… sorry :(

GPA is “low” and EC are generic.

Penn ED: High Reach
Emory, CMU, Vanderbilt, and Notre Dame: I think you are on the border line.

I think you have solid chances at other colleges on your list.

If I were you, I will add some Asian friendly LACs on your list.

Why do people ignore musical achievements on CC :S just because every Asian has them? Clearly Tenor’s focus is music. So no I think he has a descent shot at Penn ED…

Probably. But then again most Oriental Asians seem to be in orchestra and play a string instrument. In my school the orchestra has to be at least >70% Asian, where there might be around ten Asians total in the non-string bands and ensembles. So I guess that’s where I have SOME separation from my peers.

Parents and I can’t agree on any LACs that all of us like.

Up. wkerhgerkjdncerfkjsdnc

300+ views and 5 not-Tenors responses. :[

There’s several awards that I didn’t list for some of these ECs and there’s several more I’m shooting for in marching band competitions, but I got lazy. :P

Up.

Listening to some Frank Ocean.

testingggggg

Adding SUNY Stony Brook. It took a while to decide on this, but I’ll go for it.

Bump!

Tomorrow is school? I hate you all

You have a chance Tenor. Your passion for music is evident. I just don’t understand why people on CC are like “well, you are Asian so you shouldn’t____ because it’s a stereotypical Asian activity”. If you like music then showcase that. Race shouldn’t prevent you from showing your passion. Nothing much to do about GPA if you are applying ED so don’t dwell on things you can’t change.
