I am an international student who has been living in the US for eight years, and I was wondering would any US college require a TOEFL score from me? My SAT critical reading score is 690.

I would be surprised if you had to take the TOEFL as you’ve completed (or will have completed) all of your High School in the US and your CR score is quite good. Best to check with the colleges you’re interested in directly though as it would stink to be denied based on a test you would have done quite well on.

As far as I know, no US college will ask you for a TOEFL score if you have attended secondary school in an English speaking country.

Yes, you do indeed need to check each and every college that you apply to for this information. Instances have been reported here at CC of places that required the TOEFL of students fully educated in English in the US (Kindergarten through grade 12) because the student’s parents used a different language in the home. Rare instances, granted, but you don’t want to be surprised by this sort of thing!

TOEFL is not required if you’ve stayed in the US for more than three years. Some colleges won’t require TOEFL scores if your CR is more than 650.

Nope, if CR is 650+, you don’t need to take it. :)

“TOEFL is not required if you’ve stayed in the US for more than three years.”

This is not true for all colleges and universities. Each place sets its own policy, so it really, truly is absolutely necessary to ask each of them separately.
