TOEFL Score... required???

<p>Hi people,
I just got an email from Penn regarding missing materials. They put down TOEFL and then an "X" mark beside it. I know I did not take the test and English isnt my first language, however, I've been educated in Canada for about 5 years now. Is the test required for me or only recommended? and when they sent me the email, does it mean that they want me to take it? Also they said that I am missing teachers' recommendations. well, I sent them, so if only the process is slow and my stuff are not updated onto their system yet, do I still need to send in another copy?</p>

<p>Send them an email and ask them, I'm almost certain that u don't have to take the TOEFL, but ask them just in case, and if your sat verbal is above 700, u definitely don't need to take it, and about the recommendations, most likely it's still being processed, just send them an email and tell them that u sent them. It's usually better to call but for such complicated cases like TOEFL they won't be able to give you an answer right away, but call them and email them anyways</p>
