So I "misinterpreted" the school website when it said that an applicant "from Canada" could be exempted from TOEFL score report. I am graduating from Canada but my citizenship is not Canadian. So now I have to take the test and submit the score. I know, my bad. Most schools have exempted me from this part of the requirement so I guess I got a bit careless.

The problem is the next available testing date is Jan.27th, and the score won't likely to reach the school until the late Feb. The departments have told me that TOEFL won't matter much in the admission decision, but may be a problem with the graduate office.

my question is, IF the department decides to offer admission to an applicant, and if the applicant is missing the TOEFL score report, would they be nice enough to wait until the score gets there, or will they flat out reject her?
