tOfficial I HATE JUNIOR YEAR thread.

The problem is that I stop functioning if I don’t get enough sleep or eat properly and it’s just so hard to do that and keep up with everything -_-

AP English is still easy, same with honors math, but honors physics and APUSH are just ugly. I have an APUSH test tomorrow on the first four chapters of the textbook (almost 150 pages) which we have barely discussed in class and I am praying I don’t fail. Physics test later this week and a project due next week. Oh well, why do I do so many ECs?

It’s probably just my school and the time of year, but I’ve been having a really easy time so far this year. It’s partially because I’ve got holidays now so the heat isn’t really going to be turned on for another two weeks or so… apparently that’s when h*ll starts.

I guess junior year is going ok…it’s just am so busy all of the time due ECs, Homework, PSAT Preping, and soon internship at senators office (if I get accept, fingers crossed).

i don’t think my workload is THAT much worse than last year’s, but tbh this is the first time i’ve actually been trying like since middle school and it’s really tough to get back on track. i probably get 4-5 hours of homework a night, and on top of that i have sat prep, chem sat ii prep, volunteer work, piano, and martial arts.
in some classes (apush, ap psych, etc.) i feel really productive and on top of everything and in other classes (ap bio, pre-calc) i feel really lost half the time.
does anybody know where i can find the fast forward button on life?

Ugh, I hated Junior year! I was so stressed that I totally forgot to take the SAT and had to take the SAT and ACT in June hahaha xD. Luckily, I did pretty well on the ACT

I’m take 6 APs this year and I still feel less stressed than Junior year. Maybe it’s because I quit band… I actually have Freedom!

This year is bending me over. 7 aps and a varsity sport is tough plus all my other ECs. Sleep is little to nonexistent.

Sent from my ADR6425LVW using CC

^ I didn’t get any sleep last night. AP Biology had me up all night and it was really frustrating. If I see another phylogenetic tree, I’m going to throw up.

I have a AP Physics C test Wednesday, and I have a 4 hour tennis tourney tomorrow. :(

^ I have a question, how is AP Physics C? I get a lot of mixed views on it. My counselor said that I should take it Senior year, but I did really bad in AB Physics Freshman year so, I’m in a little twist. :S

Today was miserable.

I want to do Physics C but it’d be too much of a stretch with bio/selfing Chem/Macro/Micro.

ugh…

Look guys… stop complaining… It’s your fault you wanted to take like 5 APs or self study 3.

Seriously.

Can this week be over already? Had three tests today, two tests tomorrow, a test and an in-class essay on Wednesday, and a test and a DBQ on Thursday.

Man… 3 AP’s and im dying/having no time to study for SAT. I don’t see how people take 5+…

I’m in a love-hate relationship with junior year at the moment LOL.
I’m taking two AP classes at school, two online, and a Spanish III Honors class online. The online classes give me 4+ hours of homework daily, and it’s hard to maintain all A’s. Since I’m in a varsity sport, band, and other ECs, and have a part-time job, I usually stay up until 2-3 doing homework, and then wake up earlier than most to get to school. I probably get 4 hours of sleep per night on average.

It all works out though LOL. I have “ditch days” where I essentially just collapse on the couch as soon as I get home from practice, nap until whenever I decide to wake up, work on a couple assignments, and then just do extra work the next day to make up for it. In my free time, I watch anime, kdramas, WGM, and then read manga that I borrow from my friends.

Haven’t had time to study for the SAT or USABO lately, so I’m glad I studied a ton over summer vacation.

SO EXCITED FOR PROM THOUGH OMG. <3
I’ve never gone to a school dance before in my life, and I’ve heard prom is way overrated, but I don’t care. I’m on prom committee this year, and we’re having prom off campus. It’s going to be pwnsome, and I’m going to be able to hang out with my friends muhahaha. I’m excited, it’s junior year. I have classes with some pretty cool people and now I’m old enough to actually participate in some cool clubs at school, apply for internships outside of school, etc.

FTWWWWW. |D

OH AND HAPPPEEEEE.
I haven’t gone skiing in like, 2 years, and so I’m going to try to schedule weekends to hang out with friends and go ice skating/skiing/etc. Kekeke. So psyched. B)

5 APs here. The homework is rough but I only have 2-3 hours per night usually because my teachers understand how swamped everyone is.

kimmylouie, while it is a choice to take APs, many prestigious colleges, not to mention high schools that rank force students to take multiple APs.

Plus, we’re tired and stressed. Let us complain. :)

Well, I’m only taking one AP but that’s a little misleading because I’m taking dual enrollment English and Calculus. So basically three AP’s for me plus Honors Chemistry. And the dual enrollment require me to miss all of my classes once a week so that increases the stakes even more.

Plus I work 15 hours a week to put gas in my car. And oh yeah, I have to commute 35 minutes to get there.

I’m also the treasurer of my class which means planning an entire homecoming dance, game, and week at the moment while also trying to design a float. And Junior year is PROM year, which at our school is a $15,000 off-campus affair. Ugh…

Luckily band isn’t too much of a time commitment at my school.

ranting is healthy once in a while! to address fantasy’s question, Physics C in my school is one of the more challenging and the test is supposedly pretty hard. It won’t kill you if you’re not good at calculus, but that strong calc backing is usually the difference between a 4 and a 5 on the AP test. Don’t sign up unless you can put in the work though. It’s a hard one.

I’ve been really liking Junior Year so far - nothing really all that ridiculous, a lot of nights i don’t even get homework for AP Environmental, and AP English and AP World for me are a piece of cake. I actually get more homework in Trig Honors than I do in any of my AP’s. lol

In terms of grades, I have high A+'s in all of my AP’s and in Latin III/IV Honors, with an A- in Trig which I hope to pick up with my project and whatnot.

All this with a part time job and babysitting, I think I’m doing pretty good.
